Lighthouse Veterinary Personnel Services We are professional relief veterinarians. Call us the day before we are needed or months in advance.

Our associates are trained in the areas of special communication requirements, professional flexibilty and handling situations that are unique to relief medicine. We work with many practices to cover rountine days off or to provide open-ended coverage for staff transitions, major illnesses, or to support practice growth.

We had another great annual Lighthouse Outing at Hueston Woods State Park last weekend. It was wonderful spending time with our relief veterinarians in a beautiful setting. Oh, and visiting the critters at the wildlife center was interesting!

They’re back!

Peregrine Falcons have returned to Melbourne’s 367 Collins St and laid their first eggs of the season. This means that the live stream is back on – much to the delight of their many adoring fans!

Now we wait for the eggs to hatch (in around 33 days’ time).

Peregrine Falcons are the fastest animals on earth – capable of diving at speeds of up to 300km/h before striking down their unsuspecting prey, usually small to medium-sized birds, especially pigeons.

The 367 Collins St Falcons Live Stream was started 5 years ago by the Peregrine Project (VPP), one of the BirdLife Australia Raptor Group’s initiatives. The falcons have been using the nest boxes on the building's ledge since the early 1990s.⁠
