Another sweet post honoring miss Piper! Her family wrote an amazing tribute for her and also shared some beautiful photos they had taken with her this fall! ❤️🥰 You can tell how much she was loved and how much she loved her family in return- just look at that smile! 😍 Rest easy Piper 💜

“If love could have healed you, you would have lived forever”
Piper Marie crossed over the rainbow bridge at home, in the arms of her loving parents. Piper never knew a stranger and loved every person she ever met. She would light up any room with her silly smile, and human-like eyes. Even when her body could no longer keep up, her spirit was always bright.

You could always find Piper right next to her pawrents, especially if they were cooking. Always sure to let them know when they hadn’t dropped any food for her. Some of Piper’s favorite things included snuggling on soft blankets, stealing the warm spot in bed, the cheese tax, watching over the school pick up/drop off line, water “cookies”, defending the backyard against squirrels, getting new Toys and terrorizing her old(but smaller) cat brother Onyx. She would do just about anything for a treat, or two.

We wanted to send a heartfelt thank you OSUVMC Neurology team for the incredible care and support for over 2 years.

I met Samson and his family late one night to help them give their faithful friend a peaceful goodbye. I’m so glad I took that late night call because I met one of the sweetest families and a very special pup that night. ❤️💜

Sweet Fergie’s parents wrote this amazing tribute for her ❤️💜 So happy to be able to help this sweet girl have a peaceful passing 💜

Our beautiful calico kitty, ꜰᴇʀɢɪᴇ, passed away peacefully in March at home, in my arms. She was a gem. 17 years old and I got her from a local posting on Craigslist, she was the last kitten left. ❤️ She was my sidekick in life through the good times and hard seasons - marriage, two kiddos, major life transitions, new homes, the passing of my MIL and my dad, and all the challenges life threw my way.

Ferg was always where I was, enjoyed her outdoor time snuggled up in the couch on our back patio, was obsessed with drinking from my bathroom sink (waited there every morning like clockwork), loved ice water and always drank with her paw, slept on all the comfy blankets, and always let me hold her like a baby, safely wrapped in my arms during homeschool with my kiddos. My girl was treated like royalty. She was diagnosed with diabetes almost 4 years ago, which required shots twice a day, testing and a change in diet to strictly raw food. She rocked this phase of life as it challenged, changed and grew us both. She’s terribly missed as we often feel her around us and catch glimpses of her shadow around the house, but I’m grateful for the time we had together and the unconditional love she gave. RIP sweet girl.

🐾 💜 🐾

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep.

I whined to you so softly as you brushed away a tear,
“It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.”

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea.
You were thinking of the many times your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wished I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you that I’m not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said, “It’s me.”

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.

It’s possible for me to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, “I never went away.”

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew…
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over now … I smile and watch you yawning,
And say, “Goodnight, God bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out — then come home to be with me.
