I owe you a live with Moose tomorrow, as today's field trip took precedence. Brie, a J&M instructor and boarder, attended Meg's Liberty clinic with her new standardbred Alce. Fun times!

Buckle up for a lengthy post. With the rising cost of horse care and the fluctuation of building materials our belts are tight. We could go up on board but we also recognize it's a tight time for a lot af families. Instead we are looking to generate different revenue streams. J&M has been a farm since the 1940's and has been in the equine world since 1979. I refuse to stop doing our normal because our belts are tight. I can't leave the mare tied behind the auction dumpster, I can't walk passed the horse in a field lacking care, I will not change what we do and love- what makes us J&M. So we will be creating a 501c3 (in the looking for guidance stage). Until then we will be hosting Facebook live homegoods and horse equipment live sales as well as a raffle. This week a Standardbred gelding from Moores kill pen in Pennsylvania comes home to J&M after being matched with us with the help of a local rescues creator. The rescue was able throughout that week to pull all the horses without a single one shipping, KUDOS. Some went directly to homes, some to the rescue, and I think some qualified for the sanctuary. We know his race name. We do not know what his Amish home called him. So we are going to sell off spots in a naming raffle for 5.00 a piece. Once the spots are filled we will randomly draw the lucky number. That individual will choose the stabdardbreds New barn name. If your number is already taken I will give you the next closest number numerically. We will pull the raffle next Friday night or sooner if all the spots fill.
