Feline/Canine Friends, Inc. Feline/Canine Friends is a 501 (c) (3) non- profit no-kill animal rescue. We work with our community to improve the lives/health of cats.

We support TNR by providing an effective humane way to reduce the number of free roaming cats in our community. Feline/Canine Friends, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3)non-profit life saving cat rescue. FCF also offers TNR services to the community.

These three girls are looking for a place to call their own. They came from the same place but do not need to be adopted together. They are all very sweet, have done well around other cats and love attention, just a little shy at first in new places. Yet it doesn't take long for them to start exploring once they settle in. They just arrived at Petco in Plover, so come on over and see these darling kitties.

Dr Krystal can work under very challenging situations 🤣😂. While trying to do some maintenance on Tracy’s coat, one of her roommates just cannot wait his turn for a little attention!!

How many of you have taken ONE of your cats to the vet, return home and suddenly all the other cats are being mean to the one that went to the vet, right? Well, this sweet mama was spayed Wednesday and when she was fully awake, we put her back with her baby, that very same baby that we listened to “meow, meow, meow” all morning after her mama was brought into prep and holding. Yep, she missed her mama, but nope, not gonna have that vet visit smell back in her cage!! Eventually the drama ended and baby got over herself!!

Our Story

Marie Valentino, a retired school teacher, founded Feline/Canine Friends, Inc. in 1989, as a shelter primarily for unwanted pets with an emphasis on special-needs animals. The shelter was originally located in Grand Marsh, WI,which now houses most of our non-adoptable & special-needs cats. In 2014 we built a large facility in Westfield WI to expand our organization.

In 2011 Feline/Canine Friends became an Adoption Partner with Petco in Plover, WI. This partnership has been instrumental in finding adoptive, loving homes for over 200 cats per year!

All the animals at the shelter receive medical care from board certified veterinarians. They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV & Feline Leukemia. Once medically cleared and socialized they are available for adoption (with an approved application) either through our shelter in Westfield, Wisconsin or at Petco in Plover, Wisconsin.
