Mom and babies are doing just fine 💕. Key Stages of Development
Birth to 2 weeks: Kittens are born blind and start to open their eyes.
3 weeks: Kittens begin to develop baby teeth and start to walk cautiously.
4-6 weeks: Kittens start weaning from mother’s milk, beginning to eat solid food, and learning to self-groom from their mother.
8 weeks: Kittens are usually ready to start eating solid food, though some may continue to nurse.
12 weeks: Kittens should be fully weaned and have developed sufficient physical and behavioral skills for adoption.

Welcome Poppy to the Whole Pet exotic family! Key Characteristics of Hedgehogs
Spines (Quills): Their most distinctive feature is the thousands of modified hairs, or quills, made of keratin that cover their backs and sides. These are not barbed and do not detach or shoot out.
Defense: When threatened, a hedgehog curls into a tight ball, flexing muscles to create a crisscrossing defense of quills.
Nocturnal & Solitary: They are active at night, sleeping in nests during the day. They are generally solitary animals, only coming together to mate.
Diet: Hedgehogs are insectivores, using their powerful noses and claws to dig for worms, beetles, and other invertebrates.
Senses: They have poor eyesight but an excellent sense of smell and good hearing.
