Prepare your pets for the 4th of July. Here are some safety tips:

- Call your vet prior to the 4th of July and ask about medications.
- Make sure they have identification.
- Create a comfort zone.
- Tire them out.
- Do not bring your pets to firework displays.
- Do not set off fireworks around your pets.
- Distract your pets with new toys and treats.
- If you leave the house, turn the TV or music up.

With summer festivities kicking off, we want to remind you about the symptoms of heatstroke and prevention tips:

-Never leave your pet unattended in a car
-When hot/humid, keep your pet’s time outdoors limited
-Keep your pet hydrated
-Ensure your pet has ventilation and a cool environment
-Dogs with short noses are at higher risk due to their condensed facial anatomy and restricted ability to cool themselves
-If any signs of heat stroke appear, contact our team immediately.
