We’re back at it full speed!! Steve German’s Taxidermy Art is looking forward to our 52nd year in business and hoping to continue to please our old and our new clients!! Open 7AM close 4 PM Monday thru Thursday on Friday we close at 2! If you haven’t seen our showroom it’s worth the trip!!! Hope you all have a productive and fun hunting season!!

It’s that time of year!! Starting Monday August 5th STEVE GERMAN’S TAXIDERMY ART will be once again open to the public! We will be back to our regular business hours Monday-Thursday 7am until 4 and Friday 7am until 2. Thanks to everyone who that let us work all summer and try to catch up!! Looking forward to to a great upcoming hunting season!!!

TAXIDERMY!! To our clients. Most of you know by now I’ve been thru holy hell the last 6 months! 5 major leg surgeries and 2 major bacterial infections of my knee. As a matter of fact my knee was removed on March 14 and because of this second infection I may not get a new knee until July or August.
I’m on the sideline now and my Dr says it’s critical I follow his instructions to the T as the trama to my leg is severe!! I promise you if you have a bird with us I’ll be knocking them out as soon as I am told I can go back to work! God blessed me 51 years ago with a job and career that I dearly love! All I’m asking is please be patient with me and I promise when I get my leg back I will be churning like crazy!!! Thanks to everyone!

ATTENTION!!
A day has come that in my 50 plus years of doing taxidermy I never thought I would see!!
Josh and I have had to implement quotas! As of January 31st we will not be taking any more animals in. If you have been holding on to a trophy waiting on season to end please get it in before Jan 31!
Our work load is off the charts and starting February 1st our doors will be closed and we will be working like crazy to get our freezers empty!
THANKS to all our loyal clients for all the support over the years!!! Sorry we’ve had to go to this but it just has to be!!

AFRICA!!! It’s that time again!! If you’ve ever wanted to visit the Dark Continent now’s your chance. My Africa Brothers will be here on January 15 for a meet and greet at the new restaurant next to Loggerheads! 6-9 pm. You can talk directly to some of the finest PH’s in the safari business!!
If you’re not interested in hunting we offer unreal photo safaris that will be memories for a lifetime!!
This is your chance to get all the info about Africa you’ll ever need and meet some really great people, watch videos of our last couple of safaris, eat some great food and maybe even book a safari!!

This message is to clients and friends that have trophies with us now! Without going into any details I have have 6 major orthopedic surgeries in the last 18 months ! 3 of which were in the last 6 weeks! Yesterday was number 6!
1st let me say to you all thank you so much for your patience ! I know how important having your trophy in your home and not in my freezer is!
2nd you will get your trophy back and it will be done by me, it’s just gonna take a bit longer!
3rd. We had an unreal year last year and I am in the middle of of February on birds. All the small mammals are skinned and ready to mount I just need to get back on my feet! The first 3 surgeries put a big hold on the bigger animals and put me quite a bit behind!!
Finally, your trophies are fine and I promise as soon as I’m back on my feet I’ll be getting them to you as fast as I can!! God blessed me 50 years ago when he showed me the world of taxidermy !! I truly love walking into the studio everyday and truly don’t consider it a job!!
Again THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PATIENCE !!!

Still working on filling the tents for my Sept Mozambique safari! Have a few left if you’re interested! One thing I haven’t posted if you’re interested in seeing old Africa, it’s like going back in time 50-60 years! Unbelievable photo safaris are much cheaper and just as much fun!! The time around the fire pit sharing stories at nite are just as good as the hunters stories!! May be something to think about if you’ve ever wanted to see Africa from a different perspective!!! Still have several hunting spots left as well!!! Sept 11-21 2024!!

Haven’t said anything on here but here goes! Anyone that has been in the studio the last 5 or 6 weeks knows how cripple I am again! Been on a cane for over a month! Back doing great and all of a sudden my left knee, replaced in 2005 decided to go south! Dr Drez told me it was a 20 year knee and I got almost 19 out of it!! It’s been a great knee, it’s walked miles in africa, climbed mountains in Greenland and Canada plus all the adventures chasing with and after my Grandboys!! After many X-rays and intensive knee exams Dr Foret sent me to a Dr that specializes in replacement revisions! Surgery in Monday morning and I get new parts for this old knee. Good news is all the metal parts are good and secure so he will be changing out the plastic parts and doing some tightening up of the ligaments!! So ready to be out of pain especially after all I went thru in 2022!! Gotta be ready for hunting season and africa next year!! Wish me luck Monday and throw a prayer or two in please!!
