MARK YOUR CALENDARS | National Night Out is Tuesday, August 6. We look forward to this evening every year as it's an opportunity to connect with our community. In addition to the neighborhood gatherings happening around town, WPD will be hosting an event at the Central Plaza Pavilion (5845 W 89th Ave) from 5-8pm. There will be food, games & giveaways!

This event is not to take away from the neighborhood gatherings we enjoy attending every year, but to also provide a place for our citizens who don't have a centralized gathering to come and hang out with our officers.

Clyde is a 5 year old Greyhound who is retired from racing in Australia and joined us stateside earlier this year. He was fostered with Colorado Greyhound Adoption, who we partner with at PetVet365 Westminster, and it was then that we first saw him for a wound on his shoulder. His wound has since healed, he’s been adopted by his new loving family, and he has become a VIP pet, so we get to see a lot of Clyde! Each time he joins us he makes us smile with his infectious youthful energy and curiosity. Today he was in for a routine Leptospirosis booster, which he didn’t realize he was receiving while his new mom fed him treats. After he explored his exam room and had his vaccine, Clyde made himself comfortable and had a little rest.
His story is a happy one and we love being a part of it! 🩵

Yesterday we had the pleasure of working with - Dr. Tan neutered Larry and Moe, and spayed Pearl and their mama cat Lavender. Being a veterinarian is physically and emotionally demanding, leading to high rates of depression, compassion fatigue/burnout, and anxiety.
