I wanted to give Laura her own spot because she is celebrating 20 years with the practice next month!!! Laura is our resident mom looking out for us all. She also brings that mom energy into looking out for our clients and patients in over seeing quality control in how we care for our patients. I am so very blessed to have Laura in my life as a coworker and as a very dear friend. Please everyone give Laura a shout out for her dedication to your furry family for the last 20 years!! Love you Laura!
Love,
Lynn

Today is the last day of our staff Appreciation Week and we have some truly special people to highlight today!

Becca Wimmer has grown up in the clinic observing surgeries and medical cases since she was a toddler. She has experimented with other career choices but always comes back to work with us and has now decided that she wants a career in veterinary medicine. Becca is currently working on getting her pre-requisites for vet school done while working in the clinic and also at the Central Carroll Animal Emergency to get some other experience as well. Send Bec well wishes as she puts in her dues suffering through organic chemistry this semester!

Abby Wimmer gets honory mention as she is not technically working for us right now. She is in her second year at Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine! I could not be more blessed that both of my girls are joining me in vet med!

Katie joined us 11 and a half years ago right out of Tech School! She has a wealth of knowledge and is so good with educating our clients on caring for their pets. Katie also has seemingly boundless energy and often needs to “run laps” to burn off energy! We love Katie’s great sense of humor and passion for veterinary medicine. Katie is also a very busy mom of 3 amazing boys who often come in over the summer and are great help in assisting kennel with laundry and with entertaining any kittens we may have!

Beki joined us 12 years ago and has been such a blessing to us. She has such warmth for all animals as well as the people they come in with! Beki has a huge and caring heart and I am blessed to have her as a coworker and a friend. I’m sure so many of you have stories of ways that Beki has touched your lives - we are very lucky to have her as part of the CCVC family!

And then there is Crystal! She is the backbone of this place! I would truly be lost without her as she does so much to keep the hospital running. Crystal has been with us 16 years! You can be sure that Crystal is on top of things and doing everything she can to constantly be learning and adapting as we find new ways to provide better healthcare for your pets. I am truly grateful for you Crystal in all that you do to help me!

With love to all of my staff - I could not do it without you all. We make a fabulous team. Dr. Wimmer

As we continue our Staff Appreciation Week I want to give a shout out to some very deserving ladies!

Teresa has been our rock in the kennel for coming up on 5 years now! She is an incredibly hard worker who takes excellent care of our boarders and the cleaning of both buildings. We are so grateful to Teresa for all she does to keep things clean and running smoothly. We know it’s a tough job and she does it with grace! Thank you Teresa!!

Miss Reilley also works in the kennel and will assist with patients as needed as well. Reilley has been with us for 5 years in that capacity but came to work with her mom for many years before that! We obviously really believe in a family practice as Reilley is Beki’s daughter! We are grateful for all you do for our patients and for us Reilley!

Next up is Marilyn. You may not see as much of Marilyn these days as she is kept very busy with her two young boys but she still works reception on Tuesday night to get some adult time in! We miss her but know she will be up for working more when the boys get a little older.

And last but certainly not least is Dawn. Dawn came on board just to answer the phones for our weekly staff meeting so we could actually meet. We keep asking for another hour here or there and she is always willing to help out! Thank you Dawn for being there for us when we needed you!

Tomorrow is the last day of Staff Appreciation Week and we have our longest standing employees to honor tomorrow! I am very blessed to have such an amazing team of professionals to work with!

Today’s staff shout outs are 4 uniquely wonderful individuals who we could not be without!

Kayleigh has been with us for 3 years now taking excellent care of our boarders and patients alike. She is a fabulous kennel technician who is always ready to lend a hand and help in any way needed.

Lexi is Crystal’s daughter so has been around for many more years than she has been an official employee! She has worked in the kennel for the past 3 years while going to school. Lexi loves all the animals and has a way with unhappy cats!

Dr. Kate Allison has been with us for 4 years now. She is an excellent veterinarian with a great wealth of knowledge. Dr. Allison particularly enjoys behavioral medicine to help keep animals happy in their homes! We are so very lucky to have her on our team to provide such loving care to our patients.

Abby is another one who grew up coming to the practice. Her mom is Laura (who spoiler alert has been with the practice the longest!) and used to come to work with her mom to play with the Wimmer girls who just adored her. (And still do) Abby is pursuing her dream of nursing school but still helps us out whenever she can. We are very appreciative of Abby’s love of animals and desire to learn the why behind the practice of medicine.
