What is a Non-Anesthetic Dental or NAD? As you may have guessed, it's a pet teeth cleaning without anesthesia.🦷🐶🐱🪥 The NAD technician will gently swaddle your pet to ensure it feels safe. They will begin the dental cleaning by removing the plaque and calculus on your pet's teeth. The technician will clean the bacteria under the gum line and finish by polishing, wiping, and rinsing the mouth. Non-Anesthetic Dentals are done at Amigo Animal Hospital every 2nd Wednesday of the month. ⚠️ Anesthetic cleanings are required for severe periodontal disease and any teeth that need to be extracted.
