The Humane Society will be closed Tuesday, 2/18, for a routine cleaning and maintenance day.

Animal control will be responding to emergencies only.

Supply donations can still be dropped off in front of the building in the provided blue bin.

We will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, 2/19.

So many of you have followed Holly’s journey since she came to us from Texas with her 13 (!) puppies. Now she’s been spayed and is ready for her forever home! It’s hard to overstate how sweet Holly is. She just wants pets and snuggles and love. Holly would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal, loving friend!

We've been blessed with some more distinguished dogs lately. Come meet them February 17-19 and take one home for only $50!

Clint and Possum (5 months) are ready to be adopted! The boys love to wrestle and run with their springs and pom poms. They have grown up in a foster home with many other cats, but haven’t met a dog. They are ready to cuddle when they’ve worn themselves out from playing.

It's time for another Friday Fundraiser!

The prize this week is a $50 gift card to our store. We've gotten a lot of new merch in the past few months, so there's no better time to come check it out!

During the Friday Fundraiser if you donate at least $5 to the Humane Society of Carroll County, you will be entered to win the prize of the week.

The prize will be different every week. You may enter the Friday Fundraiser on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Giving $5 may not seem like a lot. But to an animal in need, $5 will contribute to their medical care, food, and basic care that will help them get ready to find their forever home.

This is Gwen. She came to us as a stray in late January severely emaciated. Despite having a tough lot in life, she won over our whole staff quickly with her beautiful eyes and sweet demeanor.

Shortly after intake, one of our medically experienced fosters took her in. Last week, she was seen at Manchester Vet Services for vomiting and diarrhea and underwent exploratory surgery to examine the GI tract.

Her GI tract physically looked normal but appears to not be pushing food as quickly as it should. There are several possible causes for this and could simply be from lack of food and nourishment before coming into the shelter. We are waiting on lab results for further diagnostics. She's on an extensive medication regimen along with restricted prescription diet.

We would like to thank our foster Melanie for loving sweet Gwen throughout this process and a HUGE thank you to Manchester Veterinary Services for their exceptional care.
