Wednesday's tip: Does your pup have tummy issues? We use a lot of banana chips as treats for our pups with tummy issues. They still like the taste, and the crunch is cute to watch. Yeti appoves!!

Wednesday's tip: Flash Flood Warning ⚠️ We have seen these warnings a lot. It is helpful for you and your animals to ensure you have a plan in case you or your animals get caught. Identifying information for them. Markings outside your home telling them you have animals. A neighbor or a friend that could pick them up as a backup. Cameras to show weather or activities at home. Let's keep these animals safe, just in case!

We have a new rescue in the building!! Josie had a bad start, but she found the best momma and is doing amazing!! So much love is headed her way! Her furry family is teaching her the right way to live.

A sweetheart decided to cross the rainbow bridge this week. Sammy had a good life, and we were daily friends that stopped by. We saw a lot of changes in his life, and we were thankful to be there for all of it. To his sass to his sweetness! He was always ready for an adventure. We will miss you!

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that washing your dogs items can reduce allergies for you and your dog? They go outside and get dirty. Once they are all done, they come inside and play with toys and lay on their blankets, getting everything dirty and full of pollen. Washing it weekly will reduce dirt and allergies in your home. I like to wash toys, blankets, and towels.

Wednesday's tip: Did you know a shy dog is a sign of fear in that dog some research has shown? They need to work on social situations with other dogs and confidence building. This guy is far from shy and actually helps his shy brother out with it. He is still a pup and isn't fearful of things yet. Exploring and keeping the world open helps! Giving confidence to explore things also helps! Thanks, Whiz, for being the best!

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that some dogs love to roll in the grass for so many different reasons? Some love the way it scratches their back, some like to take a smell home, others just want to play, and there are some that just like how it feels! We have a lot of pups that roll along our walks. Guinness has a full-time job of it!

What a HOT day 🥵!! We have a long weekend of this heat. Pups needed to still get out. We kept off the roads, stuck to shade and grassy areas. How are you keeping cool? I think a pool party is needed with our furry friends!

Wednesday's tip: Did you know there are a lot of ways to help with your animals that are scared of the fireworks? Get them outside when it is quiet and early before all the festivities begin. Put some music or the TV on louder to drown out the noise. Give them some enrichment toys to keep them busy. Try to stay away from the windows if possible. Putting a tighter shirt or jacket on them. Medicine to help calm them is always good. Stay with them if possible! For some, this is a very scary time. Have a safe 4th of July!

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that even older dogs can still be taught things? Even though they are older, you can continue to teach pups things. We walk dogs every day that we teach them tricks or things to do or not do. It never ceases to amaze me how smart these animals truly are. Telly is so smart and learns so quickly!

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that using your fingers and hands to play with your cat will train them that biting and scratching you is OK? Never use your hands to play with them. Using toys will help train them to play with those rather than injuring you. They love playing alone or with you, so provide a few different kinds.

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that dogs sweat through their paw pads? This is how they cool themselves down. While it is a great idea to have pups wear shoes on a hot day, you also really need to regulate their temps. Ensuring the ground is not hot and if you have to go out, keeping to the shaded areas and off black pavement. Testing the ground with the back of your hand to see if the sidewalk is hot.
