Wednesday's tip: Did you know that winter is when dogs are most likely to be hurt by injesting chemicals? Antifreeze is sweet, smelling, and ice salt is used everywhere that are two big contributors. Making sure they are not licking items they are not supposed to be is helpful. If you do think they have gotten into something, get in touch with your vet as soon as possible!

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that when your dogs ears are moving, they are picking up sounds that you are unable to hear? Hearing for dogs is incredible, and sometimes, they can hear from very far distances. Hence why whistling for a dog for recall works hundreds if not thousands of miles away. Dogs are so fascinating! Nigel hears dog collars very well!

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that it is better for your pup to eat after exercise and not before? There is a lot that could happen to your poor pup if you feed them and do a walk or big exercise. Bloat is a huge one to simply throwing up. It's always best to feed and let them rest afterward.

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that puppies are born deaf? They are usually only like this 14-21 days. This is to protect their developing ears. These two boys have very keen hearing! Bunnies are no match for them. Poor things!

Did you know that petting a dog and gazing into their dog will release oxytocin (love hormone) for both of you? There is a lot of oxytocin flowing with our friend Yeti's walk. How can we not gaze?

Wednesday's tip: Did you know that your pups' paws can get hot and cold with the weather highs and lows? With the bitter cold temps coming up, please be very careful with walking your dogs. Their paws can get damaged. Mushers or booties will help. The salt for icy spots needs to be wiped off as well! Be careful!

It's with saddened hearts that we lost the best of the best dogs. Espn has been my soul dog for her whole life. She was my shadow even if she didn't want to move. She was loved by many. We fostered so many friends to find the best homes. Her job was to fight off bunnies in our yard and listen to the best gossip from the neighborhood. She did amazing off leash and knew everyone of your furry babies. If I came home smelling of a new one, she knew. Her favorite treat is one that we like to share with some of your pups, dehydrated beef liver. She was munching on those up until the end. She always greeted people at the door and figured out if you were allowed inside. She had a close circle of friends that she loved to chase and play with. She will always be in our hearts and heaven needed to open the big doors for her big personality to come in. Hug your fur babies an extra time in memory of her, please! Run free and enjoy your time until momma sees you again, Espn🐕🪽🌈
