Wally was one of my clients that I had the pleasure of taking him from CA to CT for his Christmas present to see snow. Its post like these that hit me hard because I become so attached to my clients and their pets.
Wally and I had big adventures going across country twice he met a lot of people along the way. My favorite story was at a stop in Moriarty, NM these guys were a little sketchy and asked if they could pet Wally. When he barked in the Van, the entire Van shook 😂. I told them I wasn’t sure what side of the bed he woke up on and he could be like Cujo today.😂😂😂😂😂😂 They slowly walked away, Wally was like “Right Brandy 🙄”
Rock on Big Guy, you were one of many of my sweet general giants over the years, I will miss you💔

Today, with a heavy heart, I’m sharing that we had to say goodbye to my big guy, Wally. At 150 pounds (with 120 of those in his head alone), he was a gentle giant many of you got to know through his adventures. Wally loved his California days on the sunny strand, or when he’d leap up on the fence to give passersby a memorable—and sometimes startling—hello. He was a cross-country traveler, ticking off sights even I haven’t seen, and eventually made it back to Connecticut to enjoy the snow he’d been dreaming of on every walk.
He was a showstopper, a ham, and a bit of a rascal who could make cars stop in their tracks. Most of all, he was well-loved. Days like this are always hard for us pet owners, but I’m grateful he lived such a big, wonderful life. Drool on, big guy.
