Oak Tree Farm is owned and operated by Mike Keech and Joanne Beusch! We specialize in hunter/jumpers, training both the riders and their horses. Most of the Oak Tree Farm horses come right off the racetrack and begin their training for the show rings!

The 2023 TIP Performance Awards are in from the Jockey Club!
A Farewell Yodel won 3rd place in the OTTB Green Category (last raced 2023) throughout the entire United States. His last race was July. Points can be earned until December 1. He earned enough points to move his way up the ladder quickly, landing himself in 3rd place with only 5 months worth of placings in the horse shows.

Oak Tree Farm competed in the 2024 Upperville C**t & Horse Show.

A Farewell Yodel and Dats Dats Dats competed in very large classes, great competition, and even walked away with ribbons! Mike Keech could not be more proud of his two girls at the oldest horse show in America. Upperville holds a very high standard, in Mike’s opinion - one of the hardest horse shows every year, watching these very green horses compete was an amazing view.

Our silly goober is growing up 🥹

🌟 Dats Dats Dats aka Steele competed in St Timothy’s horse show last weekend. He competed in the 2’ and the 2’3” classes. It was a new environment, new jumps, and lots of waiting. He went in there showing how cool he was and walked out with ribbons in all his classes. For a 3 year old off the track he sure is thriving very quickly 🥰 Congratulations to both Steele and Khloe!

Great weekend full of horse shows!

🌟 Started Saturday morning at McDonogh with A Farewell Yodel and Georgia, he placed very well in large classes. He is finally learning what slow and steady means!

Thank you High Fields Farm LLC for the perfect start of the show season on Sunday! Not only was it a beautiful day with great weather, we had amazing riders and a beautiful show ground!

🌟 Hindenburg competed at his second horse show of the year. Only 4 weeks from his last race, he is acclimating perfectly to this new life. He placed really good in the class against some really well trained horses. We couldn’t be happier!

🌟 Jim Dandy and Madison had some beautiful rides and conquered a lot during the show that they have been working on throughout the year. Congratulations you two and you earned some beautiful ribbons!

It is ALWAYS great showing with Wild Springs Farm and spending the day with the team. They had some beautiful rides. Sarah’s students jumped right in and helped us and it is truly appreciated! ❤️

Oak Tree Farm spent all weekend at the BEST horse show at Showplace arena ❤️ Both horses did amazing in big classes and not able to school the jumps prior to their class.
Mr. Keech also enjoying his new horse show ride (everyone WATCH OUT)!

Beautiful Michelle placed 3rd in her (and Khloe’s) first ever Gittings Horemanship Class!

A Farewell Yodel held his own in the working hunter division on Saturday and then adult amateurs on Sunday! Lots of ribbons brought home (yes, I forgot to do pictures with ribbons) 😭

Everyone please wish Khloe a Happy 14th Birthday! 🥳 She is the hardest worker at the farm and one who never gives up even when the odds are against her! She has taken a 3 year old filly and in just 7 months turned it into a children's 3' hunter for herself! The rides that got her to where she is today, where not easy!
Great job kiddo and we hope you have a great birthday!

Another Sunday spent at Belfield horse show (McDonogh)!

🌟 A Farewell Yodel placed right in the middle all day at the show in the working hunter and thoroughbred hunters (3’). 🥰

🌟 Beautiful Michelle won reserve champion in the 2’6” thoroughbred hunter. Her and Khloe work so great together, you really could not find a better junior team! 😍

Took the “old pros” to Mcdonogh!

🌟 Beautiful Michelle and Khloe held their own in the thoroughbred hunters and children hunters 3’. She even won a class in the children hunters today! Congratulations to you two! 🥰

🌟 A Farewell Yodel and Georgia competed in the working hunter 3’3” and the thoroughbred hunter 3’. With Georgia being in the hospital off and on all week with little to no ride time, Yoda truly showed off his months worth of training! 😍

Great Sunday spent at coexist.stables competing at their 6th Annual Snowflake #5 H/J & J Winter Series!

🌟 Jim Dandy and Madison did good in their over poles and hack classes! Job well done!

🌟 Beautiful Michelle had two weeks off due to the weather, Khloe handled her very good with a hot filly for the day! It is never easy training baby horses.

🌟 Hindenburg competed in his first horse show with multiple cross-rail classes and hack classes. Only two rides on his back prior and 10 days from his last race … he acted like an old pro once he realized he was not racing any longer!

The overall best part is spending the day with Wild Springs Farm riders! It is always a great feeling being surrounded by positive people!

Just One More …
Everyone welcome Hindenburg to Oak Tree Farm! He is a 4 year old gelding by Imagining out of Broad Outline! His last race was last week. He is adjusting quite well at his new home and we are excited to see what his future holds! Stay Tuned! ❤️

Today, the kids showed at Bay View Farm LLC in their Blue Crab Horse Shows series, which was the last schooling show for the season.

🌟 Madison and Jim Dandy did great in there multiple hack classes and one cross rail class! Good job you two!

🌟 Khloe got to have some fun today
(she was exhausted) with our newest baby, Dats Dats Dats "Steele" (2 years old). They competed in the multiple crossrail classes, 3 jumping rounds and 2 hacks! He is certainly growing into himself and Khloe did a great job!

Even with the rain, wind, and cold weather these two did an AMAZING job today at Swan Lake with big classes and hard competition! They are now ONLY 6 months from the track.

⭐️ Beautiful Michelle (4 years old) and Khloe Fowler did such a great job today in the 2’3”, 2’6” and 3’ open classes as the only junior rider, she held her own! JOB WELL DONE KID!

⭐️ A Farewell Yodel and Georgia Rinaldi impresses us everytime. He held his own in the 2’6” and 3’ open classes. He is learning something new every single day!

🌟 Beautiful Michelle (3 years old) and Khloe took on some hard competition at Swan Lake this weekend in the low children’s hunter and walked away with some well deserved ribbons! Good Job Kiddo!

🌟 A Farewell Yodel and Georgia just seem to amaze everyone every single ride! We couldn’t be happier!

Mike said he wanted to develop one more off track thoroughbred before he gets too old to do it… that was two horses ago… so now welcome to Oak Tree Farm Dats Dats Dats… he just didn’t like to run… he is the son of Preakness winner Exaggertor, the grandson of Curlin, and great grandson of Tapit. 🐴

It’s been a busy few weeks with all of our riders doing well. Congratulations to Khloe, Maddie, Georgia and of course, Mike. The Apple Cider Cider shows were a lot of fun! Thank you Wild Springs Farm.
Swan Lake this past weekend was a real challenge. Both Khloe and Maddie did well in their classes. Thanks to all who helped!

We had a very successful weekend! Congratulations to Maddie and Jim Dandy for an exceptional day at Swan Lake in large classes with beautiful horses. On Sunday, Georgia, Khloe and Grayson took Yoda and Michelle to Wild Springs Farm. They came home after having a lot of fun and with many ribbons. Special congratulations to Grayson for his ribbon and medal!

Today Georgia Rinaldi and A Farewell Yodel just 2 months off the track, went to Swan Lake and did well in large classes. Special congratulations to Khloe and Beautiful Michelle, a three year old filly sired by Handsome Mike, in their first show together and Beautiful Michelle’s first show ever. At Swan Lake today Khloe got 2 seconds a third, a fourth and 2 fifths….a great job in large classes for a team together for a little more than a month. Beautiful Michelle last raced in February 2023. Congratulations also to trainer Mike Keech who still has that magic touch with off track thoroughbreds. A special thank you to Marc Fowler (and the Sponge Bob golf cart), to Georgia and to Kevin Williams for all your help with the horses.

Ribbons everywhere! And a trophy from Blue Crab! Congratulations Maddie, Jim Dandy and Mike! We started at 6am at Bayview Farm and finished 12 hours later after a wonderful time at High Fields Farm. Thanks to all who made it such a nice day!

What do you do when there are 2 shows the same day? Easy answer for Mike and Maddie is that you go to both! What a nice day they had - Reserve Champion at Bay View Farm for the Blue Crab Series and 2 Champions at Saw Horse Farm for the Blue and Gray Series. Thanks to everyone for your help and congratulations to all including Jim Dandy who didn’t mind standing for pictures at the end of the day!
