Meet Lucy! She’s an adorable Shih Tzu mix with boundless energy, especially when she’s romping around with her bestie “Baby Daisy,” at doggie daycare. Their games of chase are endless and when exhaustion sets in, Lucy is met with a flurry of kisses from Baby Daisy.

Recently, Lucy indulged in a traditional spa experience. (Check out her before and after photos!) Her pampering session included a puppy cut and grooming session. From gentle ear cleaning to thorough teeth brushing, precise nail trimming, and a soothing paw lotion application, Lucy received the full royal treatment. She also received a blueberry facial, expertly designed to eliminate any fur staining around her delicate eyes and muzzle.

Lucy is ready to strut her stuff and showcase her spring style!

Meet Loretta! She is an incredibly sweet and playful mini golden doodle who loves attention and cuddles. Her favorite activities include playing with her friends, running around energetically, and zoomies! Watch out though, she is known for sneakily taking another dog’s toy in the hopes of instigating a playful chase.

Meet Layla & Mindy who are both Dachshunds. Layla is 8 years old and is full of s***k and loves playing with toys and chasing other little dogs. Mindy who is 17 years old isn’t chasing any dogs, but she does have one tooth left, which is absolutely adorable. These sisters come to Listen Sit Stay Academy for boarding and are the best of friends. They enjoy being together and always snuggle and sleep on the same bed.

Meet Cooper! He is a black lab pup who is always full of energy. He approaches life as one big adventure and is eager to explore everything it has to offer. Cooper loves playing with his friends, going on long walks, chasing balls, and snuggling with everyone. On his walks, Cooper has gained quite a reputation in the community for his playful antics of flopping and rolling. Whether it’s grass, snow, carpet, or sidewalk, he doesn’t discriminate when it comes to finding the perfect rolling spot.

Meet Xena! She is a two-year-old beagle mix who comes to Listen Sit Stay for boarding, doggy daycare, and grooming. There is never a dull moment when Xena is around. She loves everyone and is always excited for new adventures. Xena is s***ky and has a ton of energy. Her favorite activities include running at the park, playing, and going for long walks. When she’s not exploring the outdoors, Xena enjoys playing with her favorite toys and snuggling up with her humans. She has a curious and playful nature that brings joy to everyone at Listen Sit Stay.

Meet Nala! She is a one-year-old Leonburger who stays with us at Listen Sit Stay Academy. Nala is a playful pup who doesn’t realize her own size. She will eventually grow to be between 100-130 lbs! Her name suits her perfectly as she is a sweetheart and will eventually resemble a majestic lioness!

Meet Maggie, Riley, and Finnegan, siblings from different fluff lines!

Maggie is a French bulldog who prefers the biggest bed available when sleeping alone.

Riley is a sweet girl who enjoys cuddling with her siblings.

And then there’s Finnegan. Finnegan’s favorite activities include sniffing outside and finding the best spots on the couch.

These three pups love to pile together in any comfortable spot and snuggle. They are not particular about their cuddle pile and happily welcome new friends to join in on the napping fun.

Meet Falcor, a two-year-and-four-month-old Great Pyrenees, named after the wondrous flying creature in "The NeverEnding Story." Weighing in at an impressive 100 pounds, this gentle giant genuinely believes he's a lapdog!

Falcor possesses a love for the outdoors, especially when the temperatures start to cool. His favorite pastime involves snuggling on the couch, being outside, and going for long walks. When the mood strikes, Falcor will playfully grab the leash, and try to take us for a walk! His mischievous behavior can be seen as sassy, yet it adds to his charm and playful personality.

Meet Shea! She is an eight-year-old Golden Retriever who has been coming to ListenSitStay for training and boarding since she was nine months old. Shea has the best walking manners in the neighborhood and has a need for speed when she plays. She is highly motivated by treats and will do anything for a nibble. Shea is well-versed in a variety of tricks, including "up up," "go for a stroll," "Paw," "pattycake," "pound and bump it" (where she alternates pawing your knee and foot). Shea can also perform tricks like "rollover," "leapfrog with a friend," "wave hello and goodbye," and "up up turning a circle/dance."

Ruthie has been a regular at our doggie daycare for a long time. However, we will be saying goodbye to her at the end of this month as she is moving to Chicago. Ruthie is a loving Lab/ American Stafford Terrier mix who either enjoys sleeping all day or playing with her furry friends, especially Moana. Over the past year, these two dogs have become besties. Whenever Ruthie comes over, Moana will excitedly grab a toy and bring it to her. It’s heartwarming to see their special bond. Ruthie checked out many other daycares, but none of them had her Moana. She will be greatly missed by everyone at ListenSitStayAcademy, both humans and dogs alike. We can't wait for our next exciting squirrel hunt adventure when Ruthie visits us for a vacation stay.

Meet Moana! She is a remarkable 4-year-old dog who was adopted on October 5, 2019. She is a unique mix of Basenji and Border Collie and besides being an adorable companion, Moana is a certified medical alert service dog. With her keen sense of smell and dedicated training, she possesses an incredible ability to detect peanuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, and sesame. Whether it's at home, in public spaces, or during travel, Moana is a loyal companion and knows many tricks. She also loves changing up her look with the latest dye fashions.
