Has your cat been itching more often? Atopic dermatitis (atopy) is a common cause of skin problems in cats. When a cat with allergies encounters an environmental protein to which it is allergic, it sets off a reaction leading to skin problems. If you suspect your cat has a new skin problem, call your veterinarian to schedule a visit πΎ

Approximately 25% of dog visits to the veterinarian involve problems with the skin and hair coat. Even in dogs not experiencing an adverse reaction to food, the skin and hair coat can be affected by many nutritional factors.
