Happy Cat Grooming is excited to be participating in the Trick or Treat trail in downtown Westmont this weekend. It is a very fun time seeing so many people and costumes! Cass Ave will be closed most of the day. Please see the Westmont Chamber of Commerce website for parking info

Has Westmont got Candy and Treats for You! Come to the Downtown Westmont Trick or Treat Trail event on Saturday, October 19th from 11am - 1pm. Over 60 businesses plus a Trunk or Treat by Holy Trinity Catholic School! There will be costume contests and a casket races!!! Loads of fun and goodies for all!

You’re invited! We are having an official opening for the new Happy Cat Grooming location. If you are not available during the day, the salon will be open until 6:00pm on Thursday the 15th for anyone who wants to see the new space.

Please be aware that on Thursday the Westmont Cruise Night will also be going on. Cass Ave does get closed at 4:30 and parking, is only allowed in designated areas after that time

FINISHING OUR BEFORE AND AFTER TOUR: The bathroom! This may not seem like the most exciting stop on our tour, but after being mobile for the last 8 years and not having a stable bathroom, this is something that I was looking forward to! Although I’m going to miss mobile grooming, it’s so nice to have everything I need in one place. I cannot wait to be fully settled in! 😻

RESUMING THE TOUR ➡️ THE GROOMING ROOMS (BEFORE AND AFTER). I have two grooming rooms: one that you can see through the large window in the waiting room and the other immediately behind it. The second room (scroll to see) does not have windows so the more sensitive kitties can be washed and groomed in a less stimulating environment. I am working on moving all my grooming equipment into the rooms over the coming weeks. This includes my clippers, dryers, and grooming tables. 🧼🛁✂️🪮

One of the most important (and rewarding) parts of a bath and blow out is during the dry when I slowly tease out undercoat using the dryer. Yes I get covered and blinded by hair, but it’s great to see all of that undercoat release and know I’m helping to prevents future mats. #catgrooming #smallbusiness
