Welcome ✨August✨
This almost 6 month old golden puppy is here for all the things! Basic obedience/advanced obedience, confidence building & training out in public! He’s already opening up the last couple days & settling in nicely. Make sure to stay tuned in our stories over the next month to see his progress! 🤩

Happy National 🖤 Black Dog Day! 🖤 Want some tips on how to take the best photos of your dog? See below ⬇️

1. Face your dog away from the sun ☀️

2. Click on the subject to adjust the level of contrast. You can drag it up or down depending on how bright or dark you want the photo 📸

3. Shoot at dusk or dawn to capture the least “harsh” sun lines 🌅

4. Invest in an editing subscription like Lightroom to edit the photos EXACTLY how you like it! (I have it & LOVE IT)

Welcome ✨ Coco ✨
Coco is a 6 month old shih tzu here for crate training, some separation anxiety & all the basics including confidence building! He’s a super sweet boy but so scared of lots of things. He’s getting the hang of the crate slowly but surely! Stay tuned to watch his progress 🫶🏻✨

Working on a tethered off switch for tank while I get some work done. We’ve been doing this almost every single day and he has gone from taking almost 2 hours to settle down to 27 minutes (today’s time). Most dogs do not come with something like this wired so we have to teach it to them. Make sure to biologically fulfill them first before asking for something like this. Did you know that sniffing can help calm down a dogs central nervous system? Sniffing can be a great decompressing activity for dogs who tend to be on the nervous side or even dogs who are more genetically inclined to have their nose stuck to the ground! PI love sniff walks at the beginning of Board and trains bc there’s zero expectations and it allows the dog to really calm & settle over time rather than rushing into training! Hiking with lots of sniffing is also a great “effortless” activity you can do with your dog! If you didn’t know, well now you do! Archie and Pancakes adventures from today! We worked on off leash recalls and impulse control! So proud of how these two are progressing! 🙌🏻🤩

Archie rocking a 30 minute place stay while I cook dinner this evening! He is a major counter surfer and trash digger, so incorporating place work will allow for mental decompression and not getting into mischief! Some may call this lazy dog training, boring or redundant and while I do teach “place” to every dog, not every dog needs to utilize it everyday, but it’s always a good tool to have in your tool box! ✅ The concept of this command can always be transferred over to other areas outside the home too and getting creative with ways to build your dogs confidence! Maggie’s 8 Day Progress!

Maggie’s 8 day progress! 🤩 Slowly we are adding more time away from her in her kennel! The Treat & Train allows up to 100 feet distance for rewards so it has come in handy when I am occupied with other dogs and not near her. She’s been alone for about an hour so far with no crying or screaming! She is making tremendous progress. Progress is all that matters in her situation, baby steps to reach her end goal. Photos at the end, show how far she is currently sleeping from my bed in my bedroom, 5 nights ago she had to be directly next to my bed for comfort! Cuda is halfway through her 4 week Board & Train! This week we started field trips to work on distraction training! I’m so thrilled with her progress and can’t wait to see how she wraps up her program in 2 weeks! So proud of this girl!
