We hope all of the steps we take for severe weather are for nothing, but being prepared is worth it. We have break away halters on order to make it safer, but while we're waiting before we're making due!

It's as simple as a phone number on a halter to make sure precious members of the family can be found if God forbid they're lost.

We welcomed this tall, dark, and handsome boy to the ranch a few days ago! Welcome Mischief, an 18 year old 15.2 Thoroughbred/Warmblood gelding. He is the absolute sweetest boy and we are so happy to have him with us ❤️

Test results have confirmed Clark County has an active outbreak of Equine Herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy, caused by Equine Herpes Virus 1. Please click the link below for facts about the disease, as well as ways to minimize risk to your herd. New horses to your property should be quarantined for a minimum of 21 days before being introduced to the herd. Please stay home with your horses if they are showing any signs of illness. Your veterinarian can guide you on vaccination recommendations for your herd. Remember, vaccination does not reliably prevent the neurologic form, but will help to protect against the respiratory disease, abortion (if using a vaccine labeled for abortion protection), and can decrease viral load and viral shedding.

Love having scientific proof that using Hay Chix nets on our hay has no evidence of damage to the horse's teeth! Saves hay, which saves money, which allows us to keep board low cost!

Due to the EHV1 virus being so close to home, we will not be allowing any haul ins to the ranch until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience, but have to take care of our horses and boarded horses first.

DISCOUNTS on multiple horses!
$50 per horse for a second and $25 for each horse after! These are for the MONTH!
If you haul in for the day, $20 per horse and $10 for any additional horses after that!

Why do we use Magnawave on or horses? Because it works! Fencer would not have been saved with or without it, but it gave him quality of life while waiting to be euthanized. Whole body sessions were done on Fencer as he was compensating on his foot, causing other areas of his body to be sore and tender from being used. Between anti inflammatories, magnawave, and Alpha 2EQ we were able to keep Fencer comfortable and we were still able to let him go with dignity.

Working with the horses hasn't been the most exciting part of the day with the weather the last week. BUT they still need to be fed and worked with so we put on our fleece lined Cowgirl Tuff jeans and our Carhartts and get the job done! It's not always easy, but it's worth it.

Everyone has had their blankets checked and enjoyed some nice warm water soaked alfalfa and grain and are all tucked in for the rest of the snow storm ❤️ Owning horses means taking care of them even when the weather sucks, but they're worth it 😉

They get warm water soaked alfalfa and grain all winter, but we add a little extra water when the weather isn't pleasant to make sure they're getting enough.
