🐕 On a more personal note, we’ve been diving into the world of gut health with Animal Biome’s Microbiome Test for Goose! Gut health plays such a crucial role in overall well-being, and we’ve been recommending this test to lots of pet parents.

Goose has always been… well, Goose! Picky as can be. Despite our best efforts to balance his microbiome, we suspect there’s still something missing. As a pup, he battled Giardia, and we’ve always wondered if that disrupted his gut long-term. This test will finally give us answers—does Goose’s gut need a little extra help, or is he just that particular?

For instance, Goose will happily eat a whole rabbit (fur and all, because dogs are weirdly awesome like that). But if I grind up the same meat rabbit? Nope. Not a chance. I love my boy, but wow… picky doesn’t even begin to describe him! 😂 (Speaking of, we have a few 2lb containers of ground rabbit, fur and all. If anyone is interested comment below, selling for cost, this is Goose’s personal stash)

Did You Know? 🚨 Red Dye No. 3 Ban

Red Dye No. 3 was banned for use in cosmetics like lipstick back in 1990, but somehow it stayed in food products for humans—until now. The recent ban finally removes it from human food, but here’s the shocking part: it’s still allowed in pet food.

Why was it ever okay for ingestion, and why are our pets still exposed to it? The truth is, your pup doesn’t care about bright colors in their food. That’s all marketing for us humans!

📋 Always check the labels. Look for wholesome, natural ingredients instead of artificial additives. Your pet deserves better than unnecessary dyes and chemicals!

When Goose’s first vet wanted to give him 8 vaccines in one day, I knew it was time to find someone who truly understood the bigger picture. That’s when I discovered Caldwell Integrative Veterinary Medicine an amazing integrative veterinary practice in Bristol.
