Hey! Hope everyone had a "filling" Thanksgiving;) Just here to quickly remind you of a few things I would like you to have readily available for when you are wanting a Health Certificate:) Please include:
*Name, Address, & Phone Number of where they are going (Post Office boxes will NOT be accepted.)
*Official ID
*Breed, S*x, & Birthdate
*When they are planning on leaving
*And remember, you need a Veterinary Inspection within 30 days of departure.

Hello! Today is another busy day for o**m pick-up with Vytelle at Wetonka Veterinary Services! Our clients that flushed last time are also picking up their embryos today:) The next scheduled day for o**m pick-up is June 14, 2023, at WVS. If anyone is wanting more information on this process, please call Helen at 605-770-8581, or give us a call at 605-225-7176, and we'll get you connected! Again, the Donor cattle that are eligible include:
* virgin heifers (preferably 1 year of age for best
results)
* open cows (more than 15 days post calving)
* pregnant cows (up to 100 days in gestation)

Thanks to all who were able to bring their fur babies to the Shot Clinic in Ipswich last Tuesday! We had a good turn out🐕🐈, and appreciate your involvement.

This shot clinic will be held in the City Shop at 122 4th St. Please have your pets on a leash:) We will have flea & tick products available for purchase, as well we deworming products. Call 605-225-7176 if you have any questions:) See you then!

April is National Heart Worm Awareness Month! If you haven't already, make sure you have your supply of heart worm prevention products available. Mosquitoes will be out soon & probably worse than ever:( We carry Interceptor Plus, so if your dog has not been on a heart worm prevention product, you will need to schedule an appointment for him to have a blood test done BEFORE going on the Interceptor Plus product. Please call if you have any questions regarding this matter. Interceptor Plus helps to protect against five different types of worms in dogs and puppies 6 weeks and older, weighing 2 pounds or more. Each tasty, chicken-flavored prescription tablet provides heartworm disease prevention and protection against hookworm, roundworm, whipworm and tapeworm infections for a full month.

If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed;) That will reinforce the little things in life matter. If you can't do the little things right, you will not be able to do the big things right.
Bedding cattle is put on the back burner or is considered a weather-dependent chore. However, bedding is one of the "little things in life that matter," & has a lasting impact on cattle health & performance.
Offering calves a dry area that are similar to their pasture will reduce their stress.
Even when calving is months away, cows gestating through the winter & spring should be bedded.
Bedding bull pens is important, but is sometimes neglected during busy fall harvest & spring calving seasons. Without bedding, bulls risk frostbitten scrotums & failed breeding soundness exams.
Just start by bedding your cattle. Mother Nature is out of our control, but having bedding plans can reduce its detrimental effects.
