NEW RULES FOR BARKN BEAUTIES.....Starting Oct 1 2024 if you don't give atleast a 24 hour notice of you canceling your appointment I will ask for the full amount of the groom. I feel as if I'm being taking advantage of by several people thinking it's just okay not to call or show up on the scheduled day and call and get right back in. Almost everyone has smart phones these days it very easy to put you appointment in your phone with a reminder alert.

Hwy 3 is closed so taking base road out of North Vernon is the easiest way to get here.

Update from Dave O'Mara Contractor Inc.on SR-3 closure April 9th.

DOCI and INDOT plans to close the road on April 9th, 2024, after the Eclipse. We plan to start with the pipe replacements and will start milling out the pavement on April 10th. The closure will be for one hundred and eighty days. The official signed detour will be US50 to US421 to SR46 to SR3. Detour Signs and barricades will be installed/delivered this week and will be uncovered/placed on Tuesday morning.

Staggered Barricades will be placed at the bypass on the south end. A hard closure will be placed at CR500 N to aid the Elementary School and the upcoming military exercise. There will be a hard closure at Main St in Westport. For those that live on the project between the hard closure will access their homes from the nearest east-west road. Updates will be provided as work progresses to let everyone know where the contractor is currently working. North/South travel will not be allowed as the roadway will be removed and once removed it has the potential for soft areas, standing water, uneven lanes and equipment will be present.

The dog that escaped from his groomer yesterday did not escape from me. There are multiple groomers with a westport address. I'm sure she is a mess over it and so is the owner. Do not come in the shop or call me talking down on her about this. I will shut you down!! Accidents happen and this is a groomers worst accident fear!!

A year ago today I found out I lost my shop in North Vernon. I was a mess, Couldn't see how I would ever be able to start over again. A year later and I have been in my brand new shop for 5 months now. I have no idea how we did it financially but all the praise goes to the good Lord!! He new I needed a change before I ever seen it. Now working from home I wouldn't want it any other way. I honestly didn't think I would be as successful here but again the good Lord says yes you will. I have only lost a handful of my regular customers and have picked up 2 handfuls of new customers. To say I am blessed is an understatement!! Thank you to everyone that has supported me through this journey!!

Absolutely breaks my heart to groom a first time dog and it moves its head away and bats its eyes as if I'm going to hit it. If you are a groomer that has to hit the dogs to get them groomed then for the love of the dogs give it up!! They dont deserve to be hit!!
