Sweet little Mamacita was helped over Rainbow Bridge recently because it was found that her system was shutting down on her. This sweet little girl was found outside a theater in Valparaiso and brought to us. She loved to curl up in a warm lap and snuggle. We will miss those snuggles!! Rest in peace dear little Mamacita! You were loved by many and will be greatly missed!! Run pain free in the warm breezes and sunshine at the Bridge until we meet again!!🥲

Yesterday was indeed a sad day. A family stopped in with a tiny kitten they found on the side of the road. It was panting and breathing hard. Our volunteers took it in and started giving it water with a syringe and fluids as well as some other things to try and help it. It appeared to have trouble standing or walking and we feared it may have been hit by a car. The little one was rushed to one of our vets who determined that it indeed had been hit by a car and had internal and neurological damage. Sadly it was recommended that we help this little one cross Rainbow Bridge. Thank you to the family who tried to help it. Rest in peace little one. While we didn't know you for long you have taken a piece of our hearts with you when you left us.

Yet another precious kitty has left us! Dear Sebastian was in a permanent foster home with one of our dedicated medicators because of a medical condition. He had been doing very well and was enjoying the love and attention he was receiving from the entire family. But sadly things began to change recently and not for the better. And yesterday it was recommended that we help him cross Rainbow Bridge. We are all so sad as Sebastian was well known at the ICS and will be so greatly missed. RIP handsome boy. We love you and will meet again.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to another one of our sweet cats yesterday. Little Rafee had been having health problems for some time now and we tried to keep ahead of them but yesterday it was decided it was time to help her cross over Rainbow Bridge. She stole a lot of hearts during her time at the ICS and will be greatly missed. Run free in the warm breezes at the Bridge dear Rafee. We love you and will miss you terribly.😭😢😿😿

A former ICS sheltermate, Josh, was helped over Rainbow Bridge recently. He had found a wonderful home along with several other former ICS sheltermates and was enjoying the good life, being loved and spoiled by his new mom. Sadly a medical condition was discovered which could not be reversed and it was recommended he be helped to cross the Bridge. RIP dear Josh! Run painfree in the warm breezes at the Bridge until that time you and your mom meet again! We will miss you and love you!!
