“Slick” is a 6 year old AQHA registered sorrel gelding that stands right at 14.1 hands. The past 2 years Slick has been used in the versatility ranch horse shows. He is solid in the Ranch Rail and has made his debut in the Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail. This gelding would excel in the hands of a youth rider! Slick was top 3 in the 2023 AOHA State Show and top 15 in the 2024 AOHA State Show. He has also won quite a bit in the jackpot ranch shows. Slick is not just a show horse. Before then he was used as a cut back horse in the cutting pen. This guy has some moves but would need a small refresher on cutting as it has been a few years. You can take him on the trails and enjoy the scenery. This guy can do it all, and he is up to any challenge you through at him. Slick leads, loads, ties, hauls great, and settles in at new environments very well. Slick can go barefoot and has great feet. When showing we do apply shoes all around just for safety. He knows his leads and has a good stop and a nice ranch spin. Slick is current on his shots, wormer, coggins, and teeth. Slick thrives in a work environment but can sit for months and ride off like he never missed a day. Slick can be a light cribber if out of heavy work due to boredom. The only medical issue will be he is missing two front teeth due to a freak accident when he was younger. This does not bother him in any way and he maintains his weight very well. Slick will be the easiest keeper and does not require additional support. Slick does receive MagnaWave treatments weekly and chiropractic visits every 3 months. He does not require any maintenance we just like to keep him feeling his best. He does have an old injury to his back right leg and has a small bump which has been vet checked and confirmed it is old scar tissue. This old injury doesn’t affect him in any way and the vet was not concerned at all. Slick will be sound and sane and will make an amazing addition to any family. He will prefer the women over men due to past trauma, but he will come around once he realizes they won’t hurt him.
