Did you know your cat is particular about where their litter box is placed within your home? Here are a few places to avoid:

❌High-traffic locations
❌Consistently loud locations
❌Locations where sudden noises can startle (Ex: by the washer, doorbell, etc.)
❌Next to cat bowls

Keep candy and that crinkly Easter basket grass far away from our curious paws — they may look fun, but they’re not safe for cats! (NOTE: my mom didn't let me play with the grass in the picture - she said it was decoration for the photo shoot only, whatever that means!)

Elevated bowls can be especially helpful for cats who are:
🐱 Large
🐱 Senior
🐱 Experiencing mobility challenges (arthritis, injuries, or recovery)
🐱 Wearing an Elizabethan collar

But all cats can benefit! A raised bowl can make mealtime more comfortable and enjoyable.

Lewie Update! 🐾

Lewie had his twice-monthly follow-up with his internal medicine vet yesterday. He hasn’t limped in two weeks! His wrist showed no swelling (a big improvement from the last appointment) 🎉.

It’s looking like he had an infection in his joint. He’ll continue getting his twice-monthly antibiotic shots and wrist recheck for another month or so. This is the best his walking has been since this all started. He's also had a good appetite and no fever. I’m hopeful we’ve figured out the root cause and that he’ll keep improving!

As background, back in January, Lewie had a high fever, wasn't eating, and intermittent limping. He went to the vet daily for fluids and evaluation for a week. Extensive bloodwork, xrays, and ultrasound were normal, but he wasn't well. His internal medicine vet suspected either an infection in his wrist joint or immune-mediated arthritis. He’s been treated for both possibilities.
