Great news! Coco has been found safe

7/9/24 Update: Coco is still missing! There has only been 1 sighting of her since. For those local -please check all cameras and under any decks, in or under sheds, cars, or campsites in case she is still wandering. Do NOT call out to/chase her if you do see her.. she may be scared. It may be that she was picked up by a good Samaritan who is unaware that she has a home. If you see and/or know of someone who may have recently acquired a dog that looks like Coco - please call her family 508-850-6633 or Animal Control.

Happy Sunday 🐾

Excited to be back tomorrow to see all my 4 legged friends. Hope everyone had a good week.

June was so busy I completely missed Pooch Patrols 25 Anniversary!!🥰 I am so blessed to be doing what I love and for this long. I have met so many amazing people, dogs, cats, birds dragons ect over the years. Some are like family now.

We've been hearing about dogs accidentally ingesting drugs while out & about, like a Hingham dog who tested positive & was treated for THC poisoning after eating "something" in Wompatuck recently.

Our own Phoebe had to be hospitalized in critical care 2 years ago after eating a suspected amphetamine she picked up on a city walk (she's fine). Please be vigilant if you have a dog who is a vacuum cleaner on walks...and make sure dogs can't access edibles or any other drugs.

He will be adoptable to the Netherlands or here on Aruba.

We are worried how it will be after August 1st when pups under 6 months cannot fly to the USA anymore😢. Will we be able to spay so much more dogs than we are now to be able to reduce the number of puppies being born? Our “flow” at the rescue will be gone when all dogs need to stay til at least 6 months old…The amounts of pups who can be helped will be only a fraction of what we can do now. Will more people even show interest in 6 months + dogs? We already have been promoting the ones we always had a lot and it has shown to be the least popular age to be picked. Travelfees will be approx 5x higher for any of them to even leave the island…Lots of thoughts and little time left. However, when the stumbled upon this baby and siblings and offered to foster them themselves we could not say no. We are afraid that they will be our last large litter for now as we need to see how many of our current pups we manage to find homes for before Aug 1st so they won’t get stuck😢. Please share our “adopt me” posts to help Nura here and all others find a loving home, it’s more important now than ever. The same as with our animal welfare efforts through .aruba, together we can make a difference, simply by spreading the word.
