December 2nd is the last day to bring a dog for obedience training until March 1st.
Due to my helper being out for a while and guiding quail hunts I will not be taking new dogs for January and February.

I will be taking $50 nonrefundable deposits to hold kennel openings for March 1st.

Hunt Test dogs get with me to make sure you're on the list to return.

A few updated pictures of the new facility.
The dogs really seem to love it. It's so much easier getting dogs from the kennels to the airing yards.
And being able to just close the doors during bad weather is so nice.

Going to work in getting the dog trailer put inside this week to store it for the winter.
And putting up permanent lighting inside and out.

Today was move-in day for the dogs.
Sure hope they like their now living arrangements.

I wish I could take credit for this dog but, I have to give credit where credit is due.
Miller's own put in a lot of time and hard work training him and it showed.
I was excited to be able to work with Miller and it was a privilege to handle him at hunt tests.
Miller is a half brother to Deke and that made this adventure a little sweeter..

Yesterday at Coastal Prairie HRC first ever hunt test Miller ran a clean finish run for his 4th finished pass earning him a Hunter Retriever Champion title.
Then ran again today for pass #5.

Way to go Miller, you deserve it.
And thank you Pablo for the opportunity.

Mr Sancho is starting to see double marks and he thinks he has me timed to when I'm going to send him. So today we set up a short breaking bird and a long bird to get the correction of him leaving early before his name is called.
You'll see in the video it worked perfectly.
Now tomorrow he'll have to wait a lot longer between and after the marks to really set it in for him.

Newest update
The building is complete, water well is up and running, power is turned on, both water and power are now ran to the building as of today.
Yesterday Septic Solutions came out and did an awesome job installing the septic system. Those guys went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and explained exactly how it all worked.
We trained dogs for the owner and it felt great being able to buy the system from them. Support those, that support you!!

Getting a lot closer to moving in.. can't wait..

Coastal Prairie HRC first ever fall hunt test is coming up, we could definitely use more volunteers for our event next weekend (10/26-27)If someone needs community service hours, this will get you plenty! We are also now a nonprofit! If you need an end of the year nonprofit donation, we have the opportunity for you! Also, still accepting raffle items for our tailgate party that Saturday night! "Hank" is a hard driving dog from some of our pedigree. I personally trained Hank, his mother (Pearl) and his Sire (Blaze).
Blaze is a full brother to our dog Deke, a Maxx and Honey son..
