Meet Sugar 😍 This sweet girl came in after her pawrents noticed that she was vomiting and having diarrhea. Dr R recommended in house diagnostics for her. Her care team members ran bloodwork and she was diagnosed with gastroenteritis. She was administered fluids, given an anti emetic and was sent home with medication that prevents ulcers. She had the cutest dress so of course she was sent home with our certificate 🤩 Feel better, Sugar!
Ares the Great Dane and Prometheus the Belgian Malinois both came in with ear infections. After running an ear cytology, we sent them home with the right medications to get those ears feeling better in no time! 💙

This sweet girl presented to UrgentVet after her pawrent noticed she was having eye issues. Dr K did her exam and determined best course to find what was wrong with her eye was running some in house diagnostics. Kricket got a fluorescein stain to determine if she had any scratches in her eye. She also got a screening to test for glaucoma. She was sent home with antibiotics and pain medications. We hope you're doing better, Kricket!
Did you know grapes can be toxic for dogs? Stella, a sweet Pomeranian, found this out the hard way. Thankfully, her pet parents acted fast and brought her to UrgentVet. We induced vomiting to safely get the grape out and kept her comfortable afterward. 💙

Did you know that at UrgentVet, you can have your pet hospitalized so he can receive IV fluids? Boss pictured here was brought in after his owners noticed something was not right. After Dr M did her exam from nose-to-tail, she noticed symptoms that were similar to what THC toxicity looks like. His care team members did an in-house drug test and the test came out positive for THC. Dr M recommended he'd be hospitalized so he can receive some IV fluids to flush this out of his system. He was also administered an anti nausea injection to prevent him from aspirating. He received lots of belly rubs and was kept in a quiet environment up until his owner came and picked him up. We hope you are feeling better, Boss! ❤️

With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.

Meet Simba 😍 This sweet boy came in after his pawrent noticed a bit of a bloody trail back at home. After doing some investigation, they realized his toe nail was missing! Dr B did his exam and determined that he needed to get his open wound cleaned and bandaged. But to do this, he required sedation. With hearts full of compassion, Simba’s care team members did just that. He was sent home with antibiotics, pain medications and his pawrent was given instructions on how to continue his care. We wish you a speedy recovery, Simba ❤️🩹

This sweet girl went on adventure with her mom in the mountains. The pavement was a bit rocky and she ended up with some cut on her paws. Dr H treated her wounds and we covered them for temporary protection. She was sent home with antibiotics, pain medications and a certificate that rightfully deemed her for having the ! We hope you feel better sweet girl!
Finn presented to after rough housing with his housemate. After Dr H did her exam, she felt lavaging the puncture wound and closing it would be the best course of action. With hearts full of compassion, his care team members worked to execute his needs. He was sent home with antibiotics, pain medications and anti inflammatory medications 💊

Meet Max 💙 This sweet man ate a peach 🍑 , unfortunately he ate it whole and the pit of a peach is not healthy for our furry friends. Care team members worked urgently to get this out of her system by administers a dose of an emetic! We hope you’re doing great buddy!
