Kindness Animal Hospital will be closed today, Thursday, December 19th, between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. for a team meeting and holiday lunch. We will reply to all messages left during this time once we are back to work. We appreciate your understanding as we come together as a team to celebrate our family.

Dear clients,

The renovations are progressing nicely. They have framed out the three exam rooms, call center and bathroom and started putting sheet rock up. However, there will be times when work has to be done during business hours and this will be inconvenient. The electricians will be doing work during the day over the next 1-2 weeks. Due to situations beyond our control, we have made the difficult decision to go 100% curbside for the next 1-2 weeks.

When you arrive, call us from your car and a CSR will take down your spot number and phone number. A team member will then call you to take a history and then come out and take your pet and bring them inside while you remain in your car. Once your pet has been examined, the veterinarian will call you to go over everything. Please make sure your cell phone receives calls from any phone number as some can be set up to send unknown numbers directly to voicemail. We will be using multiple clinic lines and burner cell phones so you will likely not recognize the number calling you.

The exception to this new protocol is euthanasias. If you are arriving to have your beloved pet euthanized, once you check in a team member will call when they are ready and you will meet them at the side door and then be escorted into the room closest to the door.

I also know that parking has been even more problematic than normal. We are working on being able to utilize the parking lot right behind us or using the meters and providing payment for that. I will update you again once we have a better solution.

Thank you for your ongoing understanding. These next weeks will not be easy, but the end result will be worth it!

Kindness Animal Hospital, founded in 1956, is one of the oldest small animal veterinary hospitals in Montgomery County, MD. We provide high-quality medical, dental, and surgical care, and we believe that preventive medicine is the best medicine. We also have a groomer, who is available by appointment Monday through Friday. Every three years, we undergo a thorough evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), which is the only organization in the United States that accredits small animal veterinary practices for dedication to high standards of care. We are proud to be among the 15% of veterinary practices accredited through AAHA. We have six veterinarians on staff, all of whom place a priority on the doctor-client relationship as we feel that this special partnership serves your pet best.
