This kitten has used up SEVERAL of its 9 lives!
A week ago, a Good Samaritan was driving thru the Narrows in Glen Dale, WV and saw the kitten against the barrier on the other side.
She stopped her car, put it in Park (in the Narrows!)🙀 and ran across the highway, chasing the kitten down the road until she finally caught it! She hugged it tight as she ran back across the highway to her car and got back in, but as she drove away the kitten panicked and climbed into her dashboard, where it stayed for the next 3 days, impossible to get to. Finally the husband had to tear the dashboard apart and they got the poor baby out. Currently staying in the family’s bathroom. It was so scared but it will now let you pick it up, pet it, will even purr. It’s eating soft cat food and using a litter box. The family has a small dog that doesn't like cats so they really hope it can go to a good home. They are unsure if the kitten is a boy or girl.
The kitten will be at clinic Thursday Aug 29 for the day. We’ll check kitty out, vaccinate and give wormer and flea prevention. No adoption fee to an approved home and we will spay/neuter kitten at our expense.🙂

Hopefully someone will come in to adopt this precious kitten. ❤️

The kitten that came into clinic last week with her leg eaten away by maggots (💔!) as she lay injured and trapped in a roll of fencing for DAYS in the hot sun until rescue angels found her, scooped her up, and found help thru Webark Estates, is thriving in wonderful foster care with Kathy.❤️

So THIS happened at clinic this week.🩷
This baby kitten, 10-12 days old, was found in the Dollar Store parking lot, all alone, crying, quite hungry, and sadly, with a badly mangled leg.😿The vet cleaned the kitten’s leg and we hope it can be saved, poor sweetie may lose the leg. But…she’ll have the best care with us!
After her exam, we placed her with the mom and 5 kittens residing at clinic and who are just a few weeks ahead of this wee one. Mama cat IMMEDIATELY accepted the little injured kitty and all are snuggled together. It was heartwarming.
(Mama kitties are wonderful!🩷)
We thank the kind person who saved this little one and brought her to us!

Name change to just PANDA the minute he arrived! Panda came in with a horrible rotted wound. It was believed that he had been shot, however, after his shaving/exam, it was discovered that he has puncture wounds all over his chest.😢

Oscar is hanging in there. His horrible chest wound is being flushed daily and he’s on antibiotics and eye meds. And even after being SHOT by some evil monster😡, he is the most loving kitty.❤️
Oscar is nowhere near out of the woods yet so please keep up the prayers!

💔 SHRIMP 💔
If ever a kitty needed a Guardian Angel, it would be this one. 😿
We received a message last Wednesday about a kitten with a broken leg. They sent us a picture of the leg which was so infected it was decomposing on the little cat's body. Pam forwarded the photo on to Dr Kylee, who, bless her heart, was in Morgantown, WV. She drove to Wheeling immediately, arrived about 6 p.m. that evening to meet up with Hope, Pam, & Kathy, and performed emergency surgery to amputate the leg. Spayed her too! (Then she drove the 3 hour trip home to Ohio...such a dedicated cat-loving individual.) It was also discovered that little Shrimp has painful bruising around the heart & other organs, a broken bone near the hip, and a broken pelvis! It's simply heartbreaking to think of the pain this little one endured.💔
Happily, she's safe in our care. She'll need months of cage rest but no further surgeries as far as we know.
Our "Delma Schank Guardian Angel For Injured Stray Cats Fund" is assisting this kitty. We need donations to help the next one! Please send a donation, if you can, to help suffering kitties who need us.

Your appointment will INCLUDE an Exam, Neuter/Spay, Nail Trim, Flea Treatment if needed, Rabies Vaccine, FVRCP Combination Vaccine, and after surgery all kitties get an additional PAIN SHOT that lasts 24 hours! Female cats also get a COMPLIMENTARY cone to prevent them from licking their stitches out! All kitties get an abdominal tattoo and feral cats are eartipped, the universal sign of an altered outdoor cat.😻
Surgeries can be done at 8 weeks old. Our Veterinarians are experts at Pediatric Spay/Neuter! Kittens can be altered at just 2 pounds! We have 5 Technicians who are all wonderful! And with so many hands on deck, the cats and kittens can be closely monitored. ❤️
Our front office is manned entirely by Volunteers, ladies who are there because they truly LOVE animals and want to help them!
