Emma is here to pick up her 11th foster dog! #GivingTuesday2024
Kathy is here to pick up her 45th foster dog!
The final part of the tour is Jenny being a voice for the voiceless and a phenomenal advocate for the big dogs that get overlooked because of their size, their looks, and/or stigmas. Every one of those dogs deserves a chance and are looking to be loved. ❤️
This is part 2 of the tour of the pavilion at Chicago Animal Care and Control ‼️ This is the best part because you get to see all the sweet faces that are still waiting but it's also heartbreaking. Did anyone catch your eye? Interested in saving lives by becoming a foster? Please email [email protected] or fill out the foster application below. We would love to save more of these big guys and gals but at this moment, we can't do that unless we have foster homes for them.

The dog we rescued from CACC earlier today is now at Heartland and being checked out by our vet. We can only rescue dogs like this cutie because you support us! If you can make a donation for GIving Tuesday, it would make a huge difference in the lives of dogs like this boy. (Please add your suggestions for his new name in the comments!)

Our Executive Director, Jenny, has spent the majority of her day at Chicago Animal Care and Control . We were able to save 21 cats and kittens today and two dogs! They are en route to the Heartland Hangar for their intake!
Please take a moment to watch Jenny take you on a tour of one of the dog pavilions at CACC. There are a lot of larger dogs that need us. Our city's municipal shelter has a hard time finding homes for larger dogs ( 35lbs+ ) and quite honestly, as do we at Heartland. On Giving Tuesday, besides donations -- we are asking you to give the gentle giants a chance. ❤️
