ok FB world and KEY fans our old boy Dawson is not doing the greatest, he is day to day. I am looking for plain deer jerky or deer meat not peppered or seasoned. It seems to be the only thing he will eat right now 😔
Please and thank you, I will pay of course.

🐾🐾ADOPTION/FOSTER NEEDED🐾🐾

Cass had the best day at Oglebay yesterday. This sweet girl is desperately in need of a great lovely home. Her story started all the way in California and has been posted here on K.E.Y. and Husky Halfway House. Please read about her in previous posts.

Note from Lydia that took her to Oglebay:

She did really good she was not a fan of the ducks lol but she used her leg the majority of the time while we were walking and had no care in the world about the other dogs walking past us and every person that walked passed she wanted to say hi too!

If interested please stop by KEY for a visit she lives visitors.

This guy needs a new home, he’s a full blooded basset hound, Danger Ranger. Ranger has been with us since the Fall of 2019, and was born in the spring of the same year. He is AKC registered and UTD on vaccinations, and is neutered. He is vetted through KEY with Dr. Yurko. He has no known medical or health issues, other than a mishapen foot that has never given him trouble. Like most hounds, this boy will use his nose and take off, a home with a fence or runner is a MUST. He’s a big snuggle bug and constantly wants to be near you, but sometimes he will find a comfy spot and like to be left alone. His nails overgrow very quickly, and need trimmed once a month. Our decision to rehome Ranger stems from his dislike to young children. We will not give him away without being sure he’s going to a good home, as he was one of our first kids. I am asking for a small rehoming fee to help ensure this, and ask if he doesn’t work out for you to please give him back for us to find him another chance somewhere else.
He’s not good with cats or kids. He’s fine with dogs just not puppies. 304-299-3819

⭐️Superhero #5⭐️ for National Veterinary Technician week is Jeanette and she probably needs no introduction but for those that do not know her she is one of the hardest working and most dedicated veterinary technicians we have known. She has been with KEY since 2011 and Karl and I have known Jeanette for almost 20 yrs. The lives that she has helped save and cared for are countless.
Jeanette is a registered veterinary technician and certified pet CPR instructor. She is currently working on her Veterinary Technology Bachelor of Science and we have offered several times to cover 100% of veterinary medical school (she is that good) but she absolutely loves being a mom and could never be away from her children for 4 years, she is a great mom! She has 2 children and a husband who supports her love of animals by never asking how many horses they have😉.
She loves everything she does, but especially anesthesia and critical care. This fall she started doing tech appointments on some Fridays.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and her own animals, being outside on the farm and hiking. She helps as much as she can with Gage's Cub scout troop, and Dahlia is looking forward to working at KEY someday.
She makes KEY better by always learning and keeping up to date about the most current advancements in veterinary medicine. Karl and I can both say KEY would not be the great hospital it is without her.
Please when you see Jeanette, thank her for not only caring for your precious pets but for working to make KEY the best it can be every single day, she is truly one of the greats!!🩺🐾

⭐️Superhero #4⭐️ for National Veterinary Technician week is Savannah.

Savannah has been working at KEY for 4 years and just turned 25. She is from West Alexander PA but currently live in Claysville PA. Her family owns and operates Mission Valley Farm in West Alexander. They raise, show and sell registered and crossbred show cattle. She loves caring for the newborn calves and being on the “ringside” supporting her family.
She took a year off from showing due to moving this summer and initially thought about “retiring” from showing but she definitely foresee herself showing again.
Savannah recently moved off her family farm into her own home with her boyfriend Nathan, dog Copper, and cat Duchess. They also added a new kitten, Melvin, and a new puppy, Cora to their family.
One of the highlights of her career this year was being able to save one of her own calves with the help of Dr. Yurko and Jeanette. Melody would not be alive today if it wasn’t for the team. She says her co workers are a second family to her and she is so thankful to be surrounded by the best group of people that all share the same passion as she does. Going to work everyday is easy because she truly loves what she does!!
Please when you see Savannah thank her for caring for your pets, they all love her including all of us at KEY.🐾🩺

⭐️Superhero #3⭐️ for National Veterinary Technician week is Amber.

Amber started working at KEYAH in 2016, shortly after completing the Veterinary Assistant program and received her diploma. She has always loved animals and has had a passion to care for them since she was very young. Now a days, Amber has her own crazy pack of fur babies at home, 4 dogs & 7 cats. She is always busy caring for pets whether it is at home or at KEY. You can find Amber assisting on appointment days, assisting Dr. Yurko in surgeries, and recovering patients after surgery. Amber’s favorite thing about working as a veterinary assistant is helping the sick patients recover & being there to comfort them when they are not with their families. When Amber is not working, you can find her spending time with her wife, Tabetha, walking her dogs on the trails, & taking her dogs shopping at TJMaxx to buy them an unnecessary amount of dog toys.
Please when you see Amber thank her for caring for your pets, they all love her including all of us at KEY.🐾🩺

Not to take away from our #2 SUPERHERO Brandi, b/c she is a true superhero. Please see her post below but had to give a shout out to my man on National Boss Day.

Dr Yurko, Karl, luvduv, hun…..has worked day in and day out, everyday all day, 24/7 doing what he loves. His work ethic is like no other and he does not believe in burn out or a work/life balance, you work hard you play hard. He has missed holidays, birthdays, weddings, vacations, funerals, worked through kidney stones, his own intestinal rupture and was even late to our own wedding b/c he was saving a pets life. Saving those lives carries a lot of responsibility and stress and he ALWAYS gives 100% of himself to helping your pets all 30,000+ of them. He may not be the easiest person to work with but you can be rest assured your pet will get the very best of him. It is still exciting to watch him work and use the talent the All Mighty has given him. I am so very proud of him and the practice we have built, even though there are days I could axe him.
So Happy National Boss Day from the true boss in charge😉🐾💙

⭐️Superhero #2⭐️ for National Veterinary Technician week is Brandi.

Brandi has been with KEY since 2020, but she has been working with animals for almost 10 years. Brandi wears many hats at KEY, from being in the kennel caring for medical boarders, to fielding calls, scheduling appointments, helping clients at the front desk, to helping with surgeries. Brandi has been with her husband for 10 years and her children keep her very busy when she is not working. She has 4 children, 3 boys, 1 girl. Football, wrestling, track, and being a cheer coach keep her on the go. She also loves to travel. The beach and animals are her happy place. She has 2 dogs and 3 kitties.
Brandi has a great work ethic and is always willing to help where needed, she is a great asset to KEY!
Please when you see Brandi thank her for caring for your pets, they all love her including all of us at KEY.🐾🩺

⭐️Superhero #1⭐️ for National Veterinary Technician week is Trisha.

Trisha has been with KEY since 2020! Many of you know her as a receptionist as of recent days but she is also a veterinary and kennel assistant, she wears many hats here at KEY. In February she gave birth to their last baby, a beautiful healthy and very happy baby boy! Since the birth of her baby you will find her working more as a veterinary assistant. She will be 31 on October 30th. At home you will find her beautiful wife and their 5 other amazing children, who keep them on their toes! On a normal day outside of K.E.Y. you will find them on a softball field or supporting their kids in all of the extracurricular activities or hanging out with family. On top of their human babies they have multiple fur babies whom complete their life circle!
Trisha says she absolutely adores working with animals everyday and helping clients keep their fur babies healthy. Even though her job has a lot of higher moments of course in our line of work there are some lows and she cherishs being able to help our clients through their painful times as well. She would not change what she does for the world and absolutely loves the work she does and the people she works with on an everyday basis. Her co workers mean the world to her and are her second family! Without her coworkers the day would be boring and not as many giggles. In the future she hopes to continue to grow as an assistant and broaden her skill set, she tries her best to support her coworkers and work hard to be the best she can be at her job for all of you! She appreciates all of you and can not wait to continue to see all of you and your pets at K.E.Y!
Please when you see Trisha thank her for caring for your pets, they all love her including all of us at KEY.🐾🩺
