It’s been a long day. We’ve been up since 6:30 prepping for the arrival of hurricane Ian and the final preparations will go into early tomorrow morning.

On top of this months medical expenses, we’ve added about 1k in building expenses in the last few days in order to add metal and additional cover, such as awnings, to our enclosures to fully protect our animals indoor areas from wind and rain. Our animals will be secured in their indoor enclosures with access to their yards removed during the storm for optimum safety.

We started raising foxes in the early 90’s and opened the sanctuary in 2013. We help rescue, rehome and care for pet foxes. We are a private company ran with only the donations of a caring public. All of our workforce is volunteers. We currently have 12 healthy foxes, some handicapped/disabled, some rescued with severe illnesses, and some un-wanted or brought to us because of lack of research on the part of the previous owners. All are loved unconditionally and given a safe, secure and healthy environment with proper vet care, diet and enrichment. We love our foxes.
