🐾 Preemie New Year’s babies - our first babies of 2025. 🐾 Born 01/02, intake date 01/08 - these active little bundles of joy are already a week old and still SO tiny! They are the size of a dwarf hamster - 3-4 x smaller than an average guinea pig at time of birth!!! However they are eating, drinking and nursing up a storm! Will be available for adoption once weaned in 2-3 weeks pending no developmental delays…

Currently receiving supplemental intermittent syringe feedings to assist mom in her low milk production. We have altered mom’s diet to stimulate milk output and increase her immunity. 🫶🏼

Welcome to Kentucky Cavies! We are a local, small group located in Louisville, KY. We rescue, rehabilitate and foster guinea pigs until we can find them a perfect forever home! We realize many piggies are in need of homes where they will be forever loved and properly cared for and it is our mission to educate the community on cavy care!
