Congratulations to Dusty Leonard! He is the September 2024 Dog of the Month winner! 🐾❤

Dusty is a sweet Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie). He has been coming to Heart to Paw since 2017 and it is always a joy to see him! He is a happy pup who wants to give lots of love! 🥰

He always does awesome for his grooms! He is usually full of excitement while he is here and just as much so when his grooming session is done, lol! 😂 It will be great to pamper this lovable pup just a little bit more! Just look at that sweet face! 😍

Where do you stand?

*Let me start by saying NO DECISION HAS BEEN MADE at this time! We are looking into all options at this point and I would like to get your feedback.*

There may be a possiblity (nothing has been confirmed yet) of Heart to Paw moving to my home in Three Rivers. I would like to get your opinion on that please. I don't want the move to cause loss of clients, especially my most loyal ones. Some personal events in my life are leaning me towards this decision though.

Please let me know your thoughts. Would you continue to be a Heart to Paw client if the salon moved to Three Rivers? Or would it be too inconvienent or too far for you to travel?

Once again: NO DESCISION HAS BEEN MADE YET! This is all early stages and looking into costs, permits, and if it would all be worth the move.

Congratulations to Ace Waycaster (Rudloff)! He is our August 2024 Dog of the Month winner!🐾❤

Ace is a sweet, lovable Shih-poo! He has been coming to us since 2017 and we love seeing him! Ace came to us for many years with the Rudloff family. Recently, he has been taken care of by the Waycaster family. We feel blessed that Waycaster's were a client of ours years ago when they brought their sweet little dog, Dee-Dee to us. When Ace went to live with them, he was able to still come to us for grooming! 🥰

He is such a sweet, sweet boy! He is always full of energy and love and we absolutely adore him! He does so well for grooming and he is such a cutie-pie! We are so glad to have the opportunity to spoil him! 💖

Every year, pets end up lost or in shelters due to fireworks. The loud noises scare them and they try to find a safe spot to hide. On the Fourth of July, and other days people are likely to set off fireworks, it's best to leave your pets safely indoors. You can turn on a radio or TV to help soften jarring noises. If you're unable to leave your pet at home, keep them leashed and under your direct control at all times. Happy 4th! Keep those pets safe!

Bandit Lucania, a sweet Papillon, is our 1st Dog of Christmas! He's adorable, quiet, and such a good, good boy! 🥰

As we end 2023, the year of family at Heart to Paw, I would like to share my family with you! Say hello to Muggsie Benjamin and Gemma Noelle! 🐾❤🐾

Muggsie, (the white one) is 15 years old! He was adpoted from the Elkhart County Humane Society when my husband and I got married. He has been with 6-7 other dogs, and 1 cat in the family throughout his lifetime, and he has done well with all of them! 🥰 He has lots of nicknames! He is our little man, mister man, bear bear, buggy bear, or bug, lol! 😂 We have a little routine before leaving for the day. I give him a kiss on the head and he bounces up and barks. ❤ It's hard to believe he will be 16 in March!

Gemma Noelle (the brown one) is my angel in disguise! 👼We adopted her from the St. Joseph County Animal Shelter! We've had some hard losses with some of our dogs over the years. 2021 and 2022 were especially difficult. 😢 We lost our Samson (momma's boy) suddenly to cancer in 2021. In 2022, exactly one year to the day, we lost our Mya (daddy's girl) to neurology difficulties. I tried hard to have only Muggsie in our lives, but there was a huge hole in my heart. 💔

We adopted Jayce (our cat) in November 2022, which helped patch the hole. ❤️‍🩹When adopting him, we learned of a momma dog who gave birth in the same shelter. I asked about the pups and when it was time for them to go, which was one week before Christmas, the shelter chose me to adopt one! 🎅

Gemma has not only filled that hole, but she has healed my heart like never before! 💝 I adore her so much and we are the best of friends! We go on walks together whenever possible! Muggsie prefers sleep over walks, lol! Gemma and I find time to cuddle everyday and she is such a smart, happy girl! She makes me laugh and her head turns and butt wiggles are the absolute cutest! 😍 I couldn't have asked for a better dog to come into my life and heal what was broken! 💖
