Now that we’ve introduced all of our clinic cats, we thought we’d share some of the animals our staff and doctors have taken home with them over the years.

First up is Mocha! Mocha was only fifteen ounces when she came to the clinic needing one of her eyes removed. Her owner didn’t want to pursue the surgery and surrendered her to our care. Dr. DeBusk did the surgery and took her home with her for recovery. That was five years ago, and she’s still with Dr. DeBusk now!

Fun fact: Mocha was so small that none of our e-collars (also known as the cone of shame) would fit her, so we made her one out of an iced coffee bottle—mocha flavored. Hence her name!

A set of 3 keys was found in our parking lot yesterday (1-31-24). If you are missing them, we have them behind the front desk 🙂

Last but not least, everyone meet Bonnie!

Bonnie has been with us for almost two years now. She was found as a stray and brought in by a client. When she came to us she was emaciated and had trauma to her ears, as well as a broken hip. We fell in love with her as she healed and decided to keep her! Bonnie loves a lap to sit in, and since we’re often too busy running around during appointments to find a moment to sit down, she makes sure to take full advantage of everyone’s attention during lunch. We love this sweet girl and are so happy she came into our lives!

Second on the roster is Nick!

Nick has also been living here at the clinic since 2015, when he was brought in as a stray with a broken jaw. We wired the jaw and nursed him as he healed. Nick is an escape artist—he loves coming up to the lobby and seeing what’s going on. If you ever see us chasing a black cat around the clinic, that’s Nick! When he’s not trying to pull a Houdini, you can find him in the window sunbathing. He’s definitely our problem child, but we still love him and couldn’t imagine not having him here to keep us on our toes.

We’ve decided that it’s far past time to introduce some of our personal pets, starting with our trio of clinic cats!

Job has been with us since 2015, when a client found him as a stray and brought him to us for euthanasia due to severe emaciation and chronic diarrhea. We decided to take ownership and treat him, and after several months he made a full recovery! Job’s favorite pastime is sitting in the sink and drinking water from the faucet, but knocking things off the counter is a close second. He loves everyone, and we couldn’t ask for a sweeter boy.
