Cambria Veterinary Center is owned by Dr. Amy Hartman, offering services for small animals (dogs & cats), also horses. We are located in Whiteford, MD, on Rt 136. Dr. Kathy Martin is our surgeon here, we do all surgeries on Friday mornings. OUR HOURS:
Monday - 9a-7p
Tuesday - 9a-5p
Wednesday - CLOSED
Thursday - 9a-6p
Friday - 9a-5p
Saturday 8a-12p

WE WILL BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY JULY 3 AND THURSDAY JULY 4!
WE WILL RE OPEN WITH NORMAL HOURS ON FRIDAY JULY 5!

July 4 is the most stressful day for owners and pets!
More pets get lost on 4th of July than any other day of the year!

Take your furry friends outside to exercise early, and before the festivities begin!
UPDATE THEIR MICROCHIPS AND COLLARS NOW!!!!!!! There is 3 days before Thursday - check the collars and make sure there is your updated contact information! If you have a microchip make sure the information is up to date!

For dogs - set up a safe space in your home. Favorite bed, blanket, toys. Turn on the tv or the radio to drown out any noises.
For cats - set up a box with a fuzzy blanket in it, tucked away from highly traveled areas.

KEEP THE FIREWORKS, SPARKLERS, AND GLOW STICKS AWAY FROM YOUR FURRY FRIENDS!
Have and updates picture of your pets, just in case!
If your pet does get out - use and abuse your local lost and found pet pages, and community pages. When shelters and clinics open up on 7/5, call them ASAP!

HOT HOT HOT!!!!

Everyone please be aware of these dangerous conditions over the next few days! Protect yourself and your furry friends!

All pets should remain indoors especially between the hours of 11am-5pm to prevent heat stroke.
Cool, fresh water should be available 24/7.
We highly recommend not walking your dog during the heat of the day, early morning, or later evening walks during this heat.
AVOID letting your pets walk on asphalt! Their paw pads can, and will, burn!
Learn the signs of heat exhaustion VS heat stroke.

If your pet is experiencing symptoms of heat stroke - get them to the nearest ER immediately!

Everyone said it couldn't be done - BUT SHE IS HERE!
Dr. Hartman is BACK IN ACTION (kinda) and is basically wonder woman! Who gets a double knee replacement and back within 2 weeks? THIS BOSS LADY!

Dr. Hartman is doing appointments VERY limited, small dogs and cats while she is recovering, and timing is random. Still have a relief vet here on other days for bigger dogs! We will slowly get back to normal around here!

Thanks for all the well wishes during the last two weeks for Dr. Hartman!

Ellie stopped by for her yearly exam and vaccines, but she said she doesn't care about that. Ellie wanted to give you and update on Dr. Hartman!

Meet Peanut!
Peanut has something VERY important for everyone to hear:
Tomorrow 6/4/24, Dr. Hartman will be having a double knee replacement. We will NOT have a doctor available tomorrow. The clinic will be opened from 9am-2pm for scheduling, and medication pick up.
Starting on Thursday 6/6/24, Dr. Kathy Martin will be filling in on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons until Dr. Hartman is back in action!
We will not have a doctor on Friday's or Saturday's while Dr. Hartman is recovering, clinic will be opened on Fridays and Saturdays during the month of June. We are hoping she will only be out about 3 weeks.

Dixie is here with a special message for everyone!
IT IS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND! The unofficial start of summer, and Dixie is ready for her time outdoors and in pools!
We are in the office today, and tomorrow with normal hours.
We will be CLOSED on Monday 5/27/24, and will reopen on Tuesday 5/28/24 with normal hours.

Keep your pets hydrated, and offer time indoors. Memorial Day is a holiday usually associated with fireworks, be sure your pets have proper identification, and make sure their microchips and up to date!

Oh, crazy wild Lillie! Lillie is 10 years old, and the way she jumps around, you'd have no idea. We have been so lucky to care for Lillie since she was a puppy!
She just had her yearly exam with senior bloodwork and walked away with a CLEAN bill of health! Way to go, girl! Keep up the good work!
