A final message from Krystle …

It has been such a whirlwind of emotions the last 2 months. Many tears (Had NO idea I’d experience as many of our customers as sad as they were. Not even about the store closing as much as it was not seeing us anymore and feeling our energy ), lots of honest reflection, excitement for the next phase of our journey, incredible gratitude, and most of all resilience.

When the business was established in 2018, it was created slightly out of spite, anger, and comfort for what I knew and what I felt I could benefit others doing. We started in our garage and bought up as much racking as we could from Toys RUs when they closed in BelAir. Dave Eder got in his car accident in September 2020. BE LOYAL Pet Company dog treats was born 2021 to give him a purpose if he wasn’t physically able to return to HVAC (PS he WAS able to return to HVAC, thank God, and doing incredible again). And just when our dog treat launched in the summer of 2021, our competitors (who still doesn’t know we are fully aware they did it) harassed the county to put a seize and desist on our business since we were operating 2 businesses in a residential location. Their fear and jealousy paved the way for our blessed future. We established our Whiteford location in Sept 2021. Our landlord was literally the BEST landlord EVERRR. We also were able to snag 2 grants from the government that helped to cover additional inventory, rent, and operating expenses. We were in a small town that we knew was going to be a struggle simply because of the lack of foot traffic but it was the only opportunity we had available. We pushed through adversity. Invested ALOT of time and money into getting people to know who we were and how we could service their families with the best products possible for their pets at reasonable prices. I then launched Coffee with Krystle to help give another outlet to our business. And Amelia Bay was established in 2022, connected to Mission Pet Supplies & Country Stor location.

We built some amazing friendships, taught our children about business and counting cash, shared in our customers’ happiness as they lost and birthed loved ones, admired how much this small town supported one another, witnessed the joy of adopters adding furry family members, rescued our sweet Mika, met my now boss, the list goes on how much this location changed our lives.

The word SUCCESS comes to mind.

Our business may be closed but by God those lovely business owners who handed us the opportunity of the road less traveled gave us so much more than they will ever know. We are so thankful and incredibly blessed to have received the love we did and the life we made because of that location. The biggest takeaway of all this is to truly LET GO in tough decision making. The answers will come if you listen. Your perspective and intention will lead the way.

So what’s next for me? I am now a supervisor in the Aerospace industry. Started, yet again in September (seems to be our month for change). It is challenging, rewarding, completely out of my wheelhouse and provides stability with an exceptional work- life balance… it is exactly what we needed for our family. Had that location not have opened, we would’ve never met the man who saw the fire in me, believed in me, and blessed me with this opportunity.

It’s all about perspective in life. Be resilient. Choose happiness. And in all that you do, do it with love. 💗

Our hearts are full with so much gratitude for the 87 adopters from our storefront since our opening in 2021 and the 68 adopters from our basement when we originally starts our journey in 2018 . Thank you for choosing to adopt and giving these 4 legged companions a second chance at life.
As well, thank you to all of the adopters who continued to support us through the years for their furry family members.

Our Final Remarks...

Owning a small business is rewarding, fun, a worthwhile challenge, and the opportunity to make your own choices. You meet fabulous people along the way, some that even alter your future. You share memories with those who believe in you. You feel overwhelmingly accomplished every day you close out your sales and you earned your goal. You did something right. You learn to lean on faith for guidance which enlightens you and if fully trusting the universe, you also learned an art of letting go and believe that you’re in the right place and are meant to be there with those people in those moments.

What you don’t see are the number of hours put behind those
efforts, the lack of sleep, the activities you weren’t able to attend for your children, the friendships you prayed were strong enough to sustain you consistently not able to join in endeavors, the inevitable stress of money, the constant confusion and disappointment of never fully understanding people’s purchasing habits, the planning for various parts of the future, the ongoing education to be better for your customers, the worry, time and money invested.

With a family, especially a young family, you constantly
battle yourself on whether you’re doing the right thing, whether your family truly understands how much this sacrifice is for them and their future. This is all they’ve ever known. Until you realize, you’re missing their present. Then it becomes quite clear.

We’ve had an incredible journey with this community. Thank you for accepting us with open arms. To our loyal customers, Thank you for your trust in us to help nutritionally take care of your furry, feathered, and scaly family. We will miss your warmth. To the volunteers who helped us with events, decorating for holidays, helping with day to day operations in the store, and especially with the animals available for adoption, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. To our parents, thank you for the unwavering support. We love you. To our kids, thank you for your sacrifices you’ve made over the years too. We are sooo looking forward to being more present with you. Thank you to each and every person who we’ve been blessed enough to cross paths. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
