The cookie crew wanted to give you an update...

We have a ton of applications already, imagine that! The volunteers are working hard on processing apps. Please do not call them this week to check in. Please do not email all of the email addresses you find on our website. That does NOT help. In fact it confuses thing and makes it take longer to process your application.

We will contact you if chosen. Remember, it is not first come first adopt. We will review at least 10 applications and you will be contacted if chosen.

Again, please do not call all the extensions, do not email all the emails addresses. You submit your application online and check your email/spam folder for follow up info.

Meet the Cookie Crew! Your heart is going to get all gooey like a warm cookie fresh out of the oven when you see these little faces. Born July 2, 2025, these babies are just over 3 months and are an adorable mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Maltese, and Miniature Poodle—so they are Chorkie Maltipoos! They were surrendered to PK. This is Butter, a darling little girl who currently weighs just over 3 lbs. This little ball of fluff will likely be around 10 lbs. once full grown. Butter is your typical puppy. She is sweet, cuddly, and loves playing with her siblings! As a puppy, she is adaptable and could fit into many homes (with other dogs, kids, and cats). Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Meet Boo! 🖤🐾

Boo may have a spooky name, but this beautiful kitty is nothing but sweet. When she first arrived, she was very shy and shut down; understandable after being found abandoned and having her whole world turn upside down. Though she had a microchip, her family never returned our calls.

With time, patience, and kindness, Boo has started to come out of her shell. She now enjoys gentle pets and seeks out affection from the volunteers. She’s a calm, gentle soul who would thrive in a peaceful home where she can feel safe and loved.

Boo has been spayed, vaccinated, tested for leukemia/fiv, and microchipped. She is 5 years old.

Here at PK we have had no shortage of medical needs lately, and now it’s our small animal program’s turn!

‼️🐰 Our boy Twist is not feeling the greatest and needs your help! 🐰‼️

We noticed last night that he was exhibiting beginning symptoms of GI stasis: not wanting to move much, didn’t want food or treats, stretching out oddly and pushing his tummy to the ground. If anyone knows Twist, you would know that he is usually a bundle of energy! He loves to zoomie around, jump up to explore “off limits” areas, and eat lots of yummy treats.

Our program manager took Twist home for the night to monitor him and start stasis protocol, and has him with our friends at Exotic Animal Hospital of Pennsylvania - EAHP today.

🚨With our medical fund being so low, we desperately are in need of donations from our fellow animal lovers! 🚨

❤️‍🩹 It has been confirmed that our Twisty boy has a couple different things going on including an ear infection, points on his teefies, diminished gut sounds. His ear gunk smells nice and ye**ty 🤢 He has finally pooped a bit and eaten and he luckily isn’t lethargic anymore like he was last night.

Twist will need some ongoing care to get back to tip top shape! Aside from medication management, this most likely will also include a dental in the near future.

Stop out Saturday September 6 from 12-3 to meet our available dogs!

🩷 Approved applications only to adopt same day.

🩵 Please be sure everyone in the home is available to meet. But keep your 4 legged family members at home. Dog/Dog meets are by appointment only.

🩷 Our dogs get more than 1 application. Please have a second or third choice in mind. We choose best fit for the dog not first come first adopt.

🩵 We require all pets in the home to be spayed or neutered and current vaccines.

Everyone, welcome Doug to PK! Doug was transferred here from another rescue and is ready to settle down with a new family, for good. He’s a 4–5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier and Bulldog mix, weighing in at 46 lbs. He packs a lot of muscle into a compact frame! Doug is attentive and curious, always trying to figure out his surroundings. He has such an expressive face! Doug has a few personality quirks, but nothing insurmountable. He really doesn’t like company around his food bowl and will guard it. However, he’s fine playing with toys, receiving treats, or even being hand-fed food. He also doesn’t play nicely with kitties, so he’ll need a kitty-free residence. He is, however, open to meeting other dogs if you have them in your home. Doug could live with older, dog savvy children who understand his resource guarding behaviors. Apply for this playful powerhouse at lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
