Meet Paco
Paco is a recent addition to our shelter. He arrived after he was found sitting on a porch after the family moved away. Neighbors quickly grabbed him before he ventured into the road.
Paco has been very overwhelmed at the shelter and not adjusting great. When volunteers pet him while in his cage he tends to be reclusive. Our cat volunteers felt this wasn’t his true personality and started bringing him into our lobby for alone time and he instantly became a different cat. He craved the petting and wouldn’t let us stop. As soon as we would return him to his cage he would become defensive and retreat to his hidey cube.
We know in a home he would do amazing and hoping someone out there falls in love with him and gives him a chance at knowing what a loving home is.
Paco is estimated as a young adult probably around 2ish years of age. He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for felv/fiv and is microchipped.

🐾Paddington🐾
This sweet gentle giant is eagerly waiting for a new home and hoping his stay at our shelter is not too long!
Paddington happily accepts attention from his volunteer friends. His is a confident and curious boy who loves to explore around our room.
He is estimated in his adult years around 4ish. And had been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for leukemia/fiv, and has been microchipped.
Paddington would do best in a home with no other kitties friends.

As our kitty friends are settling into their temporary spaces while the main cat rooms are renovated, Danica has decided to take it upon herself to be the security officer for her room. No one enters without her say so! 😹
🐹 Sometimes our smallest furry friends need a little extra TLC when they come to us 🐹
Meet Paisley Rae, the cutest and friendliest little gal who is newer to us here at PK! She was so very loved prior to coming to us but her original family was no longer able to keep her and entrusted us to take care of her and find her a new home.
❤️🩹 We quickly found that sweet Paisley was breathing very heavily and sounded extremely congested. Upper respiratory infections and other breathing issues can be very serious for guinea pigs if not properly treated in a timely manner. She was bright eyed, extremely active, and curious so we hoped there wasn’t much else going on. The same day we took her in we were able to have her seen by a trusted piggy savvy vet who confirmed an upper respiratory issue or vitamin C deficiency, or both!
To our relief, the vet also confirmed that other than the URI issue she seems to be in good health and great spirits and believes she will do well with a medication regimen of antibiotic and liquid vitamin C!
💗 We rely on donations from our gracious followers to continue helping our little friends like Paisley Rae. If you are able, any donations are extremely appreciated and put towards helping even more animals in need of TLC. 💗
This video shows how good Paisley baby is at taking her medicine! She licks it right from the syringe. 👅

Meet Chucky!
This little guy showed up with his mama on a volunteers’ back porch this past September. We saw potential in this little guy and he was brought in to be socialized. He has made tremendous strides in learning how kind and caring his new human friends can be.
He was fostered with his rescuer for a brief time in which we learned how great he could do in a home. He loved to play and explore and would even snuggle under the blankets with his foster mom. It took time but he would gradually approach for attention.
Chucky headed to our shelter location to be able to receive more attention and learn to interact with other cats. He has a blast wrestling and chasing the other kitties.
The type of home Chucky needs is a home where he can have patience and time to flourish into the kitty we all know he can be. He may not ever be a ‘pick upable’ cat but he will snuggle in next to you. He also would ideally do best with a confident and playful younger cat who can help him also grow up to be a confident kitty.
Chucky is 6-7 months old now. He has been neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv and microchipped. He resides at our shelter location. For more information contact us at 610-432-2532ext 6 or [email protected].
