⁉️ Did you know that many rabbits enjoy having a bonded mate? ⁉️

Well, now you do! Rabbits often are social creatures and enjoy having companionship from others. The bonding process can be daunting for those who have not done it before, but we guide our adopters every step of the way! The first step of the bonding process is where an approved applicant looking for a bond for their rabbit brings their current bun in for “bunny speed dating”. Their bun will meet our eligible rabbits who we think would be a good fit for bonding. The rabbits will tell us who they like the best!

➡️ This picture is from our most recent bunny speed dating session last week. This is the usual scene for our sessions: a small x pen with our bunny team member (this picture is our program manager) sitting in the middle of it to assist the two rabbits in meeting each other.

❓Did you know that rabbits can be litter trained? Well now you do! A couple tips to help with litter training your rabbit:
- have your hay in or around the litter box (they like to eat and p**p at the same time!)
- spaying and neutering drastically helps with litter training (due to their hormones!)

🐰 We litter train all of our rabbits in our program! We are down to our last bags of litter and are hoping our generous followers could help us out. Donations can be sent to or dropped off at 1049 MacArthur Road in Whitehall, PA 18052.

Meatball, our brave boy who flew across the country to us when his daddy (our old volunteer) died, can officially call his foster home his “forever” home 💙

Double the bun is double the fun!

Joan Jet and Stevie Nicks are besties who were found outside on the side of a wooded road together. These gal pals are the absolute cutest, sweetest, most precious little fluffs there is! Joan is a dwarf girlie and is estimated at around 6 months to a year old, and Stevie is a spot mix estimated at around a year old. And guess what? The vet was able to see that Stevie has definitely had babies before when she got spayed, and the thought is that Stevie is actually Joan’s mama! This mother/daughter duo absolutely love to love - both humans and each other. They often groom each other, are found snuggling up next to each other, and love to say hi and play with their human friends. Both girls are spayed and little Joan was treated for head tilt when they first came to us. She is more susceptible to having a head tilt again when dealing with stress. However, she has not had an episode of head tilt after being treated.

After flying 3400 miles to us, he’s finally here safe and sound.

We love you already Meatball baby! Your daddy can rest easy knowing you’ve made it to us with the help of his incredible and selfless brother.

Now it’s time to get him settled in at his foster home so he can decompress and adjust to a “new normal”.

Precious boy has been cleared by a rabbit savvy vet to fly and is officially making his journey from WA to PA tomorrow Saturday 1/4 ✈️

Send all of your good vibes, thoughts, prayers his and his uncle’s way as they make this journey to us together.

Many of those in the house rabbit community knew of Meatball’s owner, Anthony. His dedication to advocating for proper care and being a voice for these innocent babies showed the compassionate and caring individual Anthony was.

💙 In honor of Anthony, Meatball will be making his way across the country to join our program very soon 💙

Our friends at Bunny Brigade Inc. and Bunnies on Board have been an immense source of support and guidance as we figure out Meatball’s journey to us.

We will keep everyone updated as Meatball makes his way back to PA ✈️

🎉 This is HUGE 🎉

Petco recently started selling rabbits from commercial breeders in select stores across the country, after having pledged to not do so for years. This would be detrimental to the rabbit rescue community - unnecessarily contributing to the rabbit crisis that so many of us bunny lovers are trying desperately every day to combat.

Bunny Brigade Inc. was instrumental in bringing this issue to light! Their advocacy along with Animal Defenders Greater Lehigh Valley helping raise awareness jumpstarted the movement to end rabbit sales in Petco. The rabbit rescue community flooded Petco with phone calls, emails, social media comments pleading with the company to rethink their decision and consider how harmful it is to resume selling rabbits in their stores. Many also stopped supporting the company by no longer buying things through Petco.

Petco officially announced this week that they will no longer be selling rabbits in any of the stores 🎉🐰🎉

We all stood together as a united front for the betterment of rabbits - and they heard us.
