Who says art is just for humans? đ¨đ´ Penny, one of our amazing equines, got creative during a fun painting session using her nose and non-toxic, washable paint! Her masterpiece is as unique as she is, and we loved watching her enjoy the process.
Rose is off to âPony Boot Campâ with Ronnie, a career horseman, Army Veteran, and dedicated Starbrite volunteer! Over the next month, during our program break, sheâll be refining her skills both on the ground and in the saddle. At just 10 years old, Rose is the youngest member of the Starbrite herd, and while she already has an excellent basic-to-intermediate foundation, this advanced training will help her shine even brighter. We canât wait to see how she grows through this experience! â¨
As we look back on 2024, weâre filled with gratitude for an incredible year at Starbrite. This year, we proudly served 90 participants, including 46 in our Therapeutic Riding Program and 44 through our Horses for Heroes initiative. Our herd grew stronger with the addition of three wonderful new horses, and we now have the support of over 150 dedicated volunteers, who are the heart of everything we do.
Together, weâve created countless moments of growth, connection, and empowermentâwhether itâs a rider achieving a new milestone, a volunteer learning new skills, or a veteran finding strength and healing. None of this would be possible without the generosity and commitment of our supporters.
