Happy Holidays from our Spring Mill family to yours!
We wanted to update everyone on our holiday hours as we will be closing a bit earlier than our usual Tuesdays:
Tues Dec 24th: 9am to 12pm
Wed Dec 25th: closed
Tues Dec 31st: 9am to 12pm
Wed Jan 1st: closed
We are here all day Monday the 23rd 9am-6pm so please let us know if your pet needs to be seen or you need any medications refilled prior to the holiday closure!

Miss Mocca came in with her mom to say hello today and show off her adorable raincoat! We saw her for neurologic signs after she ate something outside! We were able to stabilize her before we sent her to emergency for continued care. It was so heartwarming to see her back to her happy self ❤️🐾

Congratulations to the winners and all the other pup participants of the Conshy Halloween parade! We had the Starbucks pup cup! 😆 Or pink drink, either way adorable ❤️❤️

Happy veterinary technician appreciation week! This week we celebrated our techs with a fruit and bakery breakfast, a new blender and smoothie fixings, Panera lunch with Dechra, Jeni's ice cream from BI, Taco Thursday, and a few gifts and treats from the doctors and our vendors!

Another new team member to highlight! A big welcome to Dr. Eleni Healey, who will be joining us mid August and helping to expand our medical and surgical services with her expertise! We're so excited to have her join us at Spring Mill ❤️🐾


Greetings! I'm Eleni Healey. I grew up in New York City and graduated from CornellCollege of Veterinary Medicine. I moved to UPenn for specialty training, fell in love with
Philly, and decided to stay. After years of practicing in the city I am excited to move upthe Main Line to join the team at Spring Mill Veterinary Hospital.

I have had the pleasure of providing care for family pets, pets in shelter and foster care,and community cats through trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs. These diverse
experiences have opened my eyes to the importance of the human-animal bond inmaximizing health outcomes and life satisfaction, both for pets and their caregivers.

I perform a variety of surgeries including minimally invasive spay/neuter, massremovals, wound care, abdominal surgeries, eye and ear procedures, dental surgery
and more. I've published research on a range of topics, and I stay up to date on thelatest veterinary practices. I am passionate about collaborating with families to create
personalized, practical treatment plans to best serve pets' healthcare needs.

I live in Philly with my husband Devon, a zoologist from South Africa studyingchameleons. I am a black belt and spend much of my free time training and teachingkarate and self defense. When I'm not at the dojo, you can find me out with my husbandcycling, running, or walking our dog Ody along the Schuylkill River Trail.

Exciting things are happening at Spring Mill! We have two new stellar doctors joining our practice and I will be highlighting each one individually. Dr. Katie Reilly is starting tomorrow, and Dr. Eleni Healey will be joining us mid August (bio to follow). Feel free to stop by and say hello, we are happy to introduce the new team members here to help care for your fur babies! ❤️🐾

Dr. Reilly grew up locally in Plymouth Meeting and attended Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. She grew up with dogs and various small mammals and fish, but has always loved all animals.
She attended Villanova University for her undergraduate studies, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology. While at Villanova, she worked in various roles at veterinary hospitals and traveled to Peru for a veterinary outreach trip. These experiences cemented her love for medicine and for helping animals and people, which led her to veterinary school.
Dr. Reilly attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in the top of her class. Within veterinary medicine, she especially enjoys internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and physical rehabilitation.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, horseback riding, and trying restaurants around Philadelphia. She currently does not have any pets, but is looking forward to adopting in the near future. She is very excited to serve the community she grew up in at Spring Mill Vet and cannot wait to meet you and your pets!
