Van and Cathy Luse are accomplished professional horse trainers who have shown and earned thousands of points in reining and all around events at AQHA shows. have won and worked together to produce top riders in AQHA/NRHA competition, world championship shows and futurities. Combining their talents as LUSE HORSES, this couple created a winning edge. One, Cathy Woosley Luse, a World Champion NRHA Intermediate Open trainer as well as multiple AQHA High Point Honor Roll Champion, is an expert in maintaining the longevity of a show horse's career. The other, Van Luse, a NRHA Futurity Champion trainer,is well versed in building a solid future with a young horse. They complement each other to provide an owner or rider the best full service training and coaching. Luse Horses also offers training and coaching for do-it-yourself riders and lessons that range from introducing a rider to the sport, helping them perfect their horsemanship in the show ring to taking riders to their ultimate dream of competing at championship horse shows. The entry numbers at Redbud Spectacular are astounding and an excellent opportunity to complete more goals of qualifying for the 2024 World Championships. With multiple judges placing them in the top 10 out of a 140+ entries, Van and Boo Gee are qualified in the Junior Reining!
Also, huge congratulations to John McDaniel and Tango No Cash, on their qualification in Amateur Reining!

The new team had some penalties, but some very nice parts, too!
The best part was Kyle Magdalena came out of the show arena smiling and very appreciative of this experience, and he provided a great experience on Tango No Cash.

Long post!
So, a few short weeks ago, we had the opportunity to meet some young riders from several countries that came over to the United States to compete at the Youth World Cup. Both Van and I were just awestruck on how talented and nice these youth riders were! It was such an enjoyable experience. It was fun to cheer on Team United during the AQHYA Youth World Cup.
Little did we know that any of our paths would cross again. Then Kyle Magdalena, from the United Kingdom, was supposed to stay over in the States for the opportunity to show at the AQHA Youth World Championship Show. Unfortunately, his horse that he had on loan to show came up lame.
Kyle had displayed such great horsemanship and was such a poised and polite young man when we had worked with him earlier. It was an easy decision for both Van and I to pay it forward and loan him Tango No Cash for the Youth 14-18 Reining. Tango's owner, John McDaniel, was on board, too!
