🏋🏽Priefert Rodeo & Ranch Equipment Panel Walker- Great for any stage of the rehab/fitness program. Horses that need to stay at a walk only, can do so in an environment that’s safe for both the horse and the handler. Or- turn it up a notch and use the interval training to achieve increased heartrate with long trotting/slow jog combos.

🏋🏽 HORSE GYM USA, LLC- This Water Walker can be filled to different levels to increase/decrease the amount of water resistance/buoyancy. A great, low impact exercise to help build muscle and cardiovascular systems. Regardless of what discipline your horse competes in, the water treadmill can be beneficial to their training/recovery program.

🏋🏽Equine Free Swim Lane- This is where it’s at for so many athletes! The swim lane allows for low impact, high output levels of fitness. Some horses may only go two laps, slowly building their stamina and returning them to work at a safe and effective pace. Others may do over 10 laps, creating a great outlet to break up your training program. Some horses don’t do well being trained in the arena on the same thing every day and need something to keep the brain engaged and in the moment. Build core and back strength in addition to their cardiovascular levels.

Looking for a superior way to keep your equine, bovine, or canine companion in top shape? Our heated indoor swimming lane is the perfect solution! Our 105-foot swim lane is designed for low/no-impact conditioning and fitting purposes, as well as rehabilitation of injuries through veterinary referral. With a matted walk-in and walk-out area and railings for safety, our swim lane offers a safe and stress-free option for your animal's health and fitness needs.

Although limited studies have examined the benefits of equine massage, this noninvasive therapy continues to grow in popularity among horse owners, competitors, and rehabilitation facility owners. Here’s why. Pain relief: It is well known that massage therapy reduces and relieves muscle tension in humans, and it can do the same for horses. And with muscle tension relief comes pain relief. Areas of scar tissue can also benefit from massage. Massage loosens scar tissue gradually, helping the horse move more freely and reducing the associated pain. Massage and stretching can help restore a horse’s mobility after an injury by reducing tension as collagen fibers heal and realign themselves post-trauma. Improved locomotor function: Massage can be a valuable addition to a rehabilitation program. By loosening tightened connective tissue, massage helps improve a horse’s overall locomotor function. The results are easy to see and are often visible immediately after a session. In a study at The Royal Veterinary College in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, massage of the caudal muscles of the equine hind limb significantly increased passive and active hind limb protraction. Improved circulation: The compression and release pattern of equine massage can help promote circulation in the superficial areas of the limbs. It’s particularly useful for stall-bound horses that develop lower leg edema by promoting blood and lymph circulation. Relaxation: Many horses visibly relax during a massage session by dropping their head, licking or chewing, cocking a hind leg, swaying with the massage therapist’s movements, and even going to sleep. Trust: A massage session also offers important trust-building elements. Owners who learn basic massage techniques can use massage to help a horse associate their touch with a pleasant experience.
