🐾HSforBC’s biggest event of the year is this Saturday!! It’s a fun time with great food, speakers, drinks and an auction. This is a great way to give back to our local shelter that houses and cares for homeless animals in our community. HSforBC also does food pantry events monthly for pet owners that need help with pet food 🐾

Meet Romeo – A story of strength, love, and the happiest tippy-taps!
Romeo was rescued during an arrest, a victim of severe neglect. When he arrived at the shelter, Romeo was so weak he could barely walk. His tiny body was nothing but sharp bones jutting out beneath skin covered in scabs and scars. His little face was sunken, his eyes filled with exhaustion from a life that had given him so little. He has had three surgeries; likely due to a deep puncture or trauma he suffered before being rescued. Every single day, Romeo leads with his heart—pure, open, and full of love. Now healthy, Romeo is a happy little bundle of love and cuddles. He does the most adorable tippy-tap dance whenever he’s excited, whether it’s mealtime, playtime, or just seeing someone he loves. He adores people, snuggling as close as he can to soak up every bit of affection. He is wonderful with kids, other dogs, and even friendly with cats. He’s waiting for the family who will finally show him what forever feels like. He’s currently 13 weeks or so and weighs about 18 pounds.

This handsome guy loves to run and is very active. He’s extremely smart, learns quickly, and is treat motivated. All of the traits that would make him a great agility or 4H dog. We estimate he’s around 2 years and 57 lbs. He loves to cuddle & would be a great family dog, but may be best as an only dog.
