LOOK WHO WILL BE HOME FOR NEW YEAR'S!
Takeo was adopted by Kali into his furr-ever home!
Kali also adopted Tanaro a few weeks ago, so, we are thinking there will be lots of fun and play time for these two!
We are sooo happy for you Takeo, and for your new brother, Tanaro!! We wish you all a long and happy life together! Thank you, Kali, for adopting both of these little gems into your family!!! Have a happy and blessed new year!

Look at these bonded pairs in their Sunday best! Timmy and TuckerToo are an awesome pair! Timmy is such a cuddly guy and he loves supervising our feeding and medicating during a shift. TuckerToo always looks surprised 🙀 and we love him! These two need to go home together and would absolutely love to find their forever family before the new year. Layla and Layna are also looking to go home together. If you love the tuxedo (black and white) look, these girls are dressed up and ready to go home with you! Come visit us tomorrow from 12-4 to meet these pairs and numerous others. Help us wrap the year up with a bang!

CONGRATULATIONS TO LITTLE DENALI !
Denali was rescued by a kind woman who witnessed Denali and his 5 siblings being dumped out of a carrier into a ditch on the side of a desolate country road. The kittens were rescued and taken into foster care where they thrived. These kittens surely have a guardian angel.... from being thrown away in a ditch ... to finding a caring foster home... and will soon find loving homes of their own.
Denali is the most adorable/loving kitten and was adopted into his furr-ever home by Josh. It was love at first sight! Denali will soon be joined by his look-alike brother, Dean, as soon as Dean is neutered and vax'd. We will post Dean's adoption photo when he goes home to be with his brother!
THANK YOU, Josh, for adopting both of these beautiful, loving kittens! You are their angel now!

Merry Christmas Eve from two of our kittens, Beckett and Beau who are trying to stay off the naughty list this year, but are having a hard time because they're kittens, so they are trouble makers 😸. These two are not related, and would not be paired together. If you have other cats in your home, both would need time to be introduced. Beau has actually done well with others, and grown into being a better friend, but does like to play hard-so if you have a cat who likes to relax, he may not be the best choice. Beckett is still trying to figure out how to be nice to other cats- she LOVES humans. She is a snuggler for sure, but just hasn't figured out why there have to be other cats around 🤣.

We're so grateful to everyone who has supported our shelter through donations, volunteering, and adoptions. Please help us wrap up 2024 by visiting, filling out an application to take one of our beauties home, or completing a volunteer application to help us fill our shifts as we are desperately in need of more help.

In order to run out shelter, we have two shifts, an AM shift from 9-11am, and a PM shift from 4-6pm every day of the week. We need a minimum of three people per shift in order to complete all of our chores during that time. Volunteers are responsible to change out food and water, scoop boxes, and give pets and love to each cage they clean. There are supervisors on each shift who manage medication, additional care, and help keep everyone organized. Please reach out to us if you're interested!

An extremely busy and productive day yesterday! So many wonderful families to thank for bringing our precious cats into your homes! In no particular order...Tianna and Tiago with their family- we're so excited that their going home together AND that they'll have kiddos to keep them busy 🥰. Krystal went home to partner up with one of our former cats, Gidget. The last photo is a picture of Gidget and Krystal. Krystal is unsure if what is going on, but Gidget just couldn't wait to see who was joining her. Finally, one of our fosters, Jacobi is going home to join Moxie! We can't wait for updates!!

We're heading into the holiday season with so much love in our hearts and excitement in our souls! Julie is heading home and joining one of our other cats, Bindi! After Julie had to return to us due to owner illness, we worried that Julie would remain with us for a long time. But, we're so happy to report that even with a little attitude (see first photo 🤣), she's found her human. Katy and Amelia's favorite Christmas movie is Last Christmas. If you haven't seen this one, you may want to grab some Kleenex while watching.

They both love Anya, our black beauty who has some vision loss. Anya is perfectly imperfect, and has a bestie next door who she'd love to be back in a home with, if possible. Both she and Diamond, who also had low vision, were adopted some years ago, but unfortunately, came back to us when the owner could no longer care for them due to health issues

Anya is so smart- and loves playing with toys! She's not fond of high energy kittens, probably due to how quickly they move and her inability to see when they're coming at her.

We'd love to see this long haired girl find her forever family- and ideally, get to take her bestie Diamond (another black beauty, but short haired) with her. Both girls are adults, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and require very little effort for care (just the usual food, water, litter scooping, and of course, snuggles and brushing). Come meet Anya!

Joan's favorite Christmas movie is Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. It was up to Rudolph to guide Santa's sleigh in this classic!

Joan's favorite cats are Nyla and Navaiya. These girls have been with us for quite some time. They were rescued and were in poor shape when they came to us. If anyone remembers our sweet boys Lucas and Liam (rest in peace), these girls came in around the same time as the boys. Their eyes were in poor shape, and we've worked to ensure the girls are healthy and ready to have a wonderful home.

The N girls love attention and really love brushing. They are a bonded pair, so they need to find a home together. These two girls are two of the sweetest cats in the shelter and we'd love to see them finally find a home for the holidays!

Two more Saturdays before the holiday remain. Please come visit the wonderful cats we have available for adoption! Michelle- our medical coordinator and someone who gives so much of her time to the shelter and also takes in many of our cats when they have medical issues that need closer surveillance than we can give at the shelter.

Her favorite holiday movie...Charlie Brown Christmas 🎄

Her favorite cat: Aragon. This guy boy went through the ringer with his perforated eardrum, subsequent infection and surgery to repair the tear from him scratching due to reaction to meds.

We've learned he is a "big brother" to our single kittens who need to work on social skills. We can pair Aragon up with the most active kittens, even some with a little spice, and he gets them to understand how to "cat". If you've not been around kittens who are either found without mom, or end up being a sole survivor, we can tell you with a few examples, they need a mentor to help them learn their social skills. Without a mom or litter mate they can get a little coo-coo crazy!

We're certain that even if you pick a puny Christmas tree like Charlie Brown did, Aragon will still love you!

A Christmas story ❤️. Our longtime volunteer Julie's favorite Christmas movie follows Ralphie Parker dodging a bully and dreaming of his ideal Christmas gift. He's always comforted by his doting Mom, much like our girls, Onyx (black) and Laurette (tortie). We'd love for these girls to go home together as they love snuggling up together whenever they have the chance. Julie has worked hard with Onyx and we've learned through her that onyx loves being brushed and hanging out in anyone's lap who will brush her. Laurette is on the shy side, but really comes out of her shell when Onyx joins her. Our Christmas wish is for these girls to go home together. Laurette is on urinary food and would need to be fed that for the rest of her life. If you're in the market for two adult female besties, these two should be on your list!

Patrick's favorite Christmas movie is the Santa Clause 3. For those who haven't seen the movie...Twelve years have passed since Scott Calvin took on the mantle of Santa Claus. He is now married to Carol Newman, who is now a teacher in the North Pole. On Christmas Eve, she tells a group of young elves a story from her life with Scott while expecting their first child. Scott invites his in-laws, Sylvia and Bud Newman, to the North Pole, along with Scott's ex-wife Laura, her husband Neil, their daughter Lucy, and Scott's son Charlie. Meanwhile, he is summoned to a meeting of the Council of Legendary Figures, consisting of Mother Nature, Father Time, the Easter Bunny, Cupid, the Tooth Fairy, and the Sandman, concerning the behavior of Jack Frost, who is jealous that he has no holiday or special occasion in his honor.

Patrick's favorite cat is Julie, and she reminds us of either the tooth fairy or the Easter Bunny in her cute pink sweatshirt! Julie stole our hearts years ago when she was first in our care, until she found her home. Recently, Julie returned to our shelter as her owner fell I'll. Julie is a favorite for many due to her shoulder perching capabilities and excitement to get out of her cage to play ❤️. Come meet this sweet adult cat who is just looking for her forever family. Julie still has a lot of love to give!

Our December 10th volunteer spotlight is Andrea and her son Isaac. Their favorite movie is Home Alone and favorite cat is Jenni. Although Andrea grew up with a black cat that was not very nice to her, she finds Jenni to be much nicer! We think Jenni is a bit like Joe Pesci in Home Alone 🤣. She can be nice, but at times can be a little villian-like, especially if you don't brush her the way she likes. I think you'll start to sense a theme with our favorites... Some of our favorites are those that have been with us the longest. We wish for the perfect home for Jenni for Christmas ⛄🎁.

A MESSAGE FROM MOXIE'S MOM:
Moxie is doing wonderfully!
She is SOOOO well-loved. The only time she's upset and cries is if there's no one to sit and snuggle with.
She's my best buddy, and all the children love her kind, gentle, loving heart. She is especially bonded with my special-needs children who are so intuitive with her feelings, just as she is equally in-tune with their feelings.
For Christmas, I'd like to open up my small but warm, loving home for a sibling companion for our dear Moxie.
I commute 1 hour each way to work. It breaks my heart to think of her lonely. (She sleeps on my head at night!)
She needs a brother or sister who is equally loving and cuddly and is happy to share our home.

Our holiday spotlight is on our volunteers and our cats! Each day until Christmas we'll highlight a volunteer, their favorite holiday movie, and one of their favorite cats in the shelter. All in hopes to find the perfect home for each of these amazing cats!

First up, our volunteer coordinator, Deb loves White Christmas. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye are the highlights in this movie, Danny playing the lovable, hilarious partner to Bing, a bit more serious but no less talented. This movie is Holiday classic. Deb loves Trapper and Jamie, and these two are similar to the leads in White Christmas! Though I don't think they can dance, Trapper is quite talkative and funny, like Danny Kaye, and Jamie is a bit more reserved, but very handsome and charming.

These two are a bonded pair and would need to go home with their favorite toddler chairs 🤣. Please come visit these gentlemen to see if you'd like to dream of a White Christmas with them ❤️❤️❤️

CONGRATULATIONS TO TANARO !!
Tanaro's new mom, Kali, saw his picture on line and wanted to meet him. When they met in person, there was a mutual bond! We are so happy for you, Tanaro! The perfect family has found you! You will be very loved! Thank you, Kali, for adopting this very special kitty! We wish you a long and happy life together!!

Instead of smell-o-vision, We wish you could have Purr-o-hearing 🤣🤣🤣. Krystal has been a little bummed since her sister found her forever home, but tonight, she was ready to snuggle. This love fest started on her bed, she even let one of our volunteers rub her belly! This sweet girl would love to have her happy ending now that her sister has. Come meet this sweet girl!!

Bowie is the sweetest guy! You'd never know he was rescued from outside. He lives for his pets as you can see from the video below!!
