When you have young vulnerable puppies currently you are always checking the skies for large predatory birds. What I thought was possibly the juvenile bald eagle overhead while driving by one of the main intersections of our town turned out to be one of several black vultures. It is about the start of their migration time to head south and it was very interesting to see them sitting quietly over one of the busiest corners in Whitewater. Gave me some real Second Salem vibes.
