Team roping occupies Tanse's brain more heavily this time of year than any other. World Series of Team Roping Finale occurs in Las Vegas concurrently with the National Finals Rodeo. Add in horse preparations, packing, logistics, partners, entry fees, and scheduling... It gets to be a big deal for us.
We will be unable to complete any hay DELIVERIES between Thursday, November 20 and Monday, December 15. One pickup is 2 hours away at the shop getting a grille guard and the other is parked 3 hours away where one of Tanse's traveling partner lives.
The only exception is for smaller deliveries that Tully could bring with the bumper pull trailer.

The crew is back in business beginning Monday morning after a weekend of travel and learning!

We generally are able to approve almost all requests, but sometimes we have small blocks of time that we're not available within the larger window we noted as available. That's life, right? Even with the gorgeous fall we've been having, winter will arrive sooner or later. Are you ready? Have you secured your winter's hay supply, and is it actually good enough to meet the needs of your critters?
Throughout the region, lots of hay got rained on after cutting/before baling (potentially losing quality) and some that didn't get rain on the windrow may have been baled too moist due to higher than normal humidity during the season. We should know, we turned down quite a bit of hay this summer and fall for those reasons.
We're here for you now, and will be here for you later if you determine what you may have bought someplace else isn't making the grade. 😉

Many of you comment how you'd like to come watch me (Tanse) rope in competition. FYI: All these team ropings are free to attend/watch. The next one is THIS weekend in Rapid City at the James Kjerstad Event Center on the fairgrounds. Come on out if you're in town! I'll be entered in the 12.5, 11.5, 10.5, and 9.5 Slide on Saturday and the 9.5 on Sunday. See the flyer in the comments. If you show up and see me, please flag me down to say hi. When competing, I get in a zone and may not recognize people when our encounter is not in the normal environment we'd see each other in. 😉
The videos are from a practice session this past Sunday at a friend's place. Diesel is a mare we raised - out of Tonya's late mare Ms. Lady Illuminator. She wasn't perfect all the time, but after 2 1/2 years away from the roping pen, we are excited to bring her back into the fold soon.🤠❤️
