The farm is named for our mothers Nurten and Ruth. NUR also means bright heavenly light. The area has beautiful rolling hills on which we hope to have a small vineyard. There are three established vineyards in the surrounding area. We hope to have honey bees, a large garden, and small scale animal husbandry, beginning with chickens. The farm is located approximately one hour north of Dallas.

We have had some unexpected events occur and will not be able to attend Sherman Farmers Market on 5/29/21. Our apologies.

NUR Farm will not be Sherman Farmers Market today. We have a previous work commitment. We will be back next week.

The NUR Farm will not be able to attend Sherman Farmers Market this weekend due to a work commitment. Looks like there will be many great vendors there. Have a great opening day! We will see you April 17.

Our Story

NUR farm is our dream. Thirty-seven acres in Grayson County, Texas. The farm is named for our mothers Nurten and Ruth. NUR also means bright heavenly light. We are a family owned, working farm, we do the work! We follow organic practices for our Dexter cattle, honey bees, chickens, vegetables, and fruits. We sell pasture raised, grass fed Dexter beef, organically fed, free ranged chicken eggs and chicken, honey, and bee pollen. We use no hormones, antibiotics, or steroids in any of our animals. During market season you can find us at Sherman Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. We are available at other times by appointment, let us know and we would love to show you the farm! NUR farm is located approximately one hour north of Dallas.
