CATURDAY NUTRITION TIP: Why your cat is drinking from the faucet 🚰😺
Your cat has a perfectly good water bowl. So why do they insist on drinking from:

The bathroom sink
Your water glass
The toilet (😱)
Literally anywhere but their bowl

HERE'S WHY:
🐱 Instinct - In the wild, running water = fresh/safe. Still water = potentially contaminated.
🐱 Temperature - Tap water is often cooler than bowl water
🐱 Freshness - Bowl water sits and gets stale (cats can smell this)
🐱 Whisker Fatigue - Deep bowls touch their whiskers (uncomfortable)
🐱 Location - Cats don't like water bowls near food (wild instinct: water near a kill site = contaminated)

SOLUTIONS:
✅ Cat water fountain (simulates running water)
✅ Multiple water stations around the house
✅ Wide, shallow bowls (ceramic or stainless, not plastic)
✅ Change water 2x daily minimum
✅ Keep water away from food bowl
✅ Add ice cubes for temperature preference

BONUS TIP: If your cat suddenly drinks MORE or LESS water, see your vet. This can indicate kidney issues, diabetes, or other health problems.

Hydration = health. Make it easy for them.
